Mornin' All!
not a Starbucks fan either. As Jen said, their coffee tastes burnt - and it give me indigestion to boot. Too acidic. No thanks.
I'm meeting a friend at a coffee place this morning - I'll bike over. I'm still dealing with sodium overload from the weekend. The matzo ball soup I had last night for dinner probably didn't help. I can't believe how much salt there is in store-bought chicken broth. YIKES! I reluctantly signed up for a dinner tonight that I've been himming and hawing about for the last couple of weeks. DH and MIL signed up when the announcement first came out - but I've been a hold out. I need to be very careful since I want to get rid of the two pounds I've gained since last week. Eating out doesn't help (although neither does matzo ball soup...).
QOTD: big surprise here - bike all the way. It's my main form of exercise when the weather's nice. I do longer rides for pleasure and fitness (anywhere from 1-3 hours at a pop), and I also bike if I need to run an errand that's fairly close by.
B: protein oatmeal with plain yogurt and fruit, coffee with half & half
MS: probably an iced latte at the coffee place (with SF syrup)
L: not sure yet. Maybe cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie - or some pulled pork
AS: protein shake
D: at the dinner. Limited menu choice since it's a large group. I'll probably do the chicken cordon bleu since the steaks are really expensive. The third option is a veggie stir fry, but since this is a banquet place, I'm guessing that's not going to be very good. I'll eat half of the chicken cordon bleu - and maybe some salad. I'd better do a lot of biking today...
have a great day, everyone!
Good Morning! Yay for a great beach day. Wow, no Starbucks-such willpower. After spending most of the day working in excel yesterday I got to come home and help Em with an assignment in excel. The main frustration is that she opted to buy a MacBook for school and hence started this assignment in numbers and for those that are familiar using both- they are different!
I have appointment for my ankle tomorrow. My Dr. Google research has me self diagnosing myself with posterior tibial tendonitis-so we'll see.
QOTD: I'd go with a bike.
TSS: 8 years
B: SF latte, Fiber/protein oatmeal , turkey sausage, and an orange
L: Turkey and cheese sticks, carrots, SF pudding and an apple
S: Protein puffs, a peach and yogurt
D: Kolhrabi noodles, turkey meatballs, creamy pesto sauce, sliced orange/banana, and 2 squares dark chocolate
ES: Greek yogurt and toast
E: Rest day- I have a replacement treadmill being delivered today (belt tear that didn't make it unusable but also not replaceable/warranty) that I want to be able to break in soon!!!!!!!!
V/W: On track

Good morning all and Happy Taco Tuesday,
Starbucks is my jam. Trenta iced coffee, sf vanilla, 2 stevia. I allowed myself to pick up a Starbucks habit when I stopped drinking. I rationed it was healthier and cheaper than the money spent on alcohol. I have recently been cheating on Starbucks with Dunkin. Shhh... Don't tell Howard Schultz or he'll start calling me with customer service questionnaires again. I also buy Starbucks sugar free vanilla syrup and TJ cold brew to make a cup at home.
QOTD - It's hard to imagine another way of getting around without a car. It would be nice to get back on a bike after I have my hip surgery. I have never ridden a horse but would like to saddle up at some point in the future. Yee doggy!
B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine.
L: turkey provolone roll up.
D: PP shake.
S: mini bag popcorn.
HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.

G'morning all!
I starbucks! I try to stay away from it but on the weekends it's one of my treats. Yippee for the pumpkin stuff coming out! Eons ago, when we had a starbucks on site, a coworker and I would rush to our little starbucks kiosk on the first day of PSL; such fun memories. To the point when we both left the company we would call each other on the first day of PSL and drink it together virtually.
QOTD: bike, especially nowadays with e-bikes the uphills won't be a problem.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Mex cauli rice + ground turkey
- Jello, iced coffee + PP, chomp stick
- Hb eggs + tuna pouch
- E: light cardio + weight (only upper body)

Happy Taco Tuesday!
I had a great weekend. Saturday DS turned 18! Wow, how time has flown by. He picked going to a movie for an activity. We saw the Invitation. It was definitely different from what I was expecting but would recommend waiting for it to come out on streaming. It was good, not great. We also did breakfast and dinner out, his choices of where to go. Sunday I didnt end up going kayaking because it was only 78 degrees (brrr, cold), but it will heat up again this week so try again this Sunday.
QJB-I also had a daily Starbucks habit that was costing about $6/day. I decided that I would start making my cold brew at home. After some trial and error, I found Starbucks cold brew concentrate that I can use at home to make the cold brew. While the concentrate can still be a bit spendy it is still cheaper than going to Starbucks everyday. You could probably make the Americano at home and ice it yourself pretty inexpensively.
QOTD: Can I pick Uber or Lyft? I dont want to be murdered or raped by hitchhiking. I dont want to bike in the heat or rain. Not sure how convenient horseback would be....
Accountability: Great
B: triple zero greek yogurt with collagen, keto granola, blueberries, cold brew with half n half
L: Summer salad with chicken, poppy seed dressing
S: protein frosty
D: Asian chicken salad with sesame ginger dressing
S: 100 cal bag popcorn, 4 squares sf chocolate
E: 60 minutes hot hatha yoga
Have a terrific Tuesday

Good morning!
Julia, I gave up Starbucks in 2015 when we bought the downtown condo as a result of mortgage payment shock. It took a few weeks for my car not to drive there every single morning on the way into work, but I eventually got it and me retrained. Now I am thrilled I don't pay out 4-5 bucks every Monday through Friday. Truly money in the bank!
Yesterday was a good day all around. I made a version of crack chicken for dinner. Wasn't feeling the buttermilk brined chicken I had taken out. Ok. Let me say, I have never had crack chicken. I may just go bathe in the leftovers. Excuse me if you don't hear from me for a while.
Brown dog and I are up to 15 laps around the perimeter of the house, twice a day and he is doing great. He is using his leg all the time at a slow pace and definitely using it again on the stairs. He still picks it up and carries it if he gets too much speed going so I have to slow him down. So that's is my exercise regimen for the day. It's all about brown dog. Oh, and I get a facial and my brows done tonight. Also need to make a blood test appointment and finally reschedule with my dermatologist. I also need to pick up more vitamins before Thursday afternoon. Ok, so it's not all about brown dog today. Yay, I have a life!
QotD: Bike all the way. By the way, did I ever mention that I never ride my bike without hearing Fat bottom girls make the world go round in my head? I may not have a fat bottom anymore, but that doesn't dilute my joy of a bike ride and a little Queen.
Menu
B: piece of chili relleno casserole
L: crack chicken. I'm not sure with what, but definitely crack chicken
D: must make that brined chicken tonight. Add broccolini and the sweet potato for Roger. Maybe I can put crack chicken on my brined chicken. Maybe I should consider never making crack chicken again.

You are such a good dog mama! Kudos to you for taking care of your fur baby the way you are. These animals depend on us for their well being and I can't imagine leaving them be when they are in pain. With our previous dog Gemma, we had to do MRI, spinal tap, physical therapy and tons of other stuff because she was losing the use of her back legs. We ended up getting her a doggy wheel chair for her back legs. Never did I think she is just a dog and let her be. This time around we got smart and got a doggy insurance in case something like that happens again.
