Lovely kitties! I am so glad you have a dr in your corner that you like/trust. Also, great job on the sustained loss. Keep that pretty head held high.

Good morning!

Good luck with giving up Starbucks. Think I'm one of the lucky few who was never a fan. Probably helps that I don't enjoy any form of sugar in my drinks, so it's just extra expensive cups of plain coffee or tea for me. Sounds like your beach day was divine!

I was super sad to learn that MFP's barcode scanner is going behind the pay wall starting in October. I use it all the time. Oh well. Also. Randomly, I keep getting offers in the mail to buy my property. Apparently there are some companies who have nothing better to do than dig through public record looking for "vacant" land to buy. Weird. I've had four offers in less than two years. Gives me a bit of joy to giggle and rip them up. My empty parcel has a legal easement (the road) and my neighbor's driveway through it. There used to be a trailer on it, and the back half is on a steep grade. I'll keep it.

Yesterday went well. I've exercised six of the last eight days, which is the plan. I always feel great after cooling down. Weeks like this one I figure that I'm helping build muscle. I can feel the muscles in my thighs a lot more easily these days.

It also feels like I might be sleeping a bit better. The dietician yesterday helped me find a non-sweet form of calcium. After I finish this bag, no more flavored chewables! It was kind of a negotiation. No food-based plant protein like edamame but I can have concentrated versions like tofu. Was also glad to hear it's okay for me to eat a ton of yogurt and cottage cheese like I've been doing. Both have some carbs and natural sugars. The APRN was good. I got to ask all my questions. The phlebotomist took eight vials of blood for all the testing needed. They said it can take a week to get results on the fat soluble vitamins. Fingers crossed!

QOTD- I'd go with bicycle. Less upkeep than a horse, much as I love them.

Menu

Breakfast- two boiled eggs with mustard

Snack - planted protein shake with fiber

Lunch - three ounces of crock pot cube steak with mushrooms

Snack - low fat cottage cheese

Dinner - nonfat plain Greek yogurt

Hope you all have a wonderful day! Cheers.

Oh no!!! I rely heavily on MFP and its scanner. Darn those people. I have been using them since surgery and I would feel lost. I noticed the recent changes and their push to get the paid version. Ugh!!!

QOTD. Got to go with the bicycle. It will be a 3 wheeler with an electric assist of course. I have no balance anymore and electric keeps the effort down.

Thank you to everyone who answered my question about plastic surgery. I will wait the year and I don't think I am done losing anyway.

Melody, Congrats on the weight loss and maintaining it. You are so not a failure, just a student learning how her body works!

This morning is physical therapy despite the foot doctor saying it would not help, it is. I have recovered about 50% of my foot drop. My pain doctor also did an injection in the nerve going to the foot in hopes of calming it. He said if it helps I can repeat these. I think it did. I still have to walk with a cane, but it is not for support. It is to keep me hyper aware so it don't trip.

Thunderstorms this morning, we had them last night as well. If it is not raining after physical therapy I will go to the store. My menu is just to eat up the left overs in the fridge. There is some Cuban pulled pork left, so that will be lunch. Dinner ... will be salad, lots of ingredients to make one.

Good morning and happy Tuesday! As much coffee as I drink, I am not a fan of Starbucks. I mean I will drink it, don't get me wrong, but it's never my first choice. I think their coffee tastes burnt; I did read an interesting book about Starbucks and I never forget someone saying they are in the dairy business, not coffee business. It's not correct but not incorrect either, lol.

Funny story, one of my colleagues asked if I got my tongue pierced...I said no, I just got Invisalign but thank you for thinking I'm cool enough at almost 50 to pierce my tongue.

QOTD - no hitchhiking here; I would probably get an e-bike. I used to ride horses when I was younger so I could go back to that but a bike is easier and less cleaning of manure.

I have a light meeting day today so should be able to get some work projects worked on; I have my personal trainer session today; looking forward to my physical therapist coming back from paternity leave next week so he can do some work on my bicep tendon. I also want to get my final elliptical session done today so I can complete the august challenge.

menu
coffee plus half and half X 2

English muffin with poached eggs (I used the egg bite maker and they were just like I like them!)

ever roast deli chicken and slice cheese

pastrami and slice cheese

Have a great day!!

Now, why didnt I think of an electric bike. Ok in a pinch that would be my option. But I still want Uber/Lyft as an option. Also, I could bum a ride from a friend or family as the question is if I couldnt drive..

hi all

didn't fall asleep till way after 2- i did take unisom, eat 2 wasa crackers with peanut butter also- full disclosure. so not im mentally off to a bad start.

QOTD: leaning toward horse but even that sounds like a hassle. at least you don't have to feed and water and cleanup poop from a bike. Let's go for bike, but can I opt for the ones with the little engine on them? I wouldn't want to rely on the hitchhiking to get around.

food will be leftovers

b: coffee coffee water

l (late breakfast) leftover bbq pork from other day with mushrooms

d: either more pork or some other dinner type food.
