My friends went to see her in Nashville Wednesday night. They had a great time and didn't believe me that she is 77.

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,

Oh so sorry that your drive was in vain. I hope you do get to spend time and help her out today. My mom has scheduling problems. I have to tell her every day what she has on her schedule or she'll miss things. Hell if I do not set phone reminders I would miss things.

I got an easy day just work and I think my Bro wants his haircut tonight so other than that I'm good.

QOTD: Yeah I am a Get-R-Done person. Once I get started I am not one to take a break till it is over. I remember spending many hours in the kitchen making homemade ravioli till the back pain was so bad I would want to drop.

Good morning!

Brown dog is going actually stir crazy not being able to move about at will or play at all. Really considering puppy Xanax for him. He whimpers and talks to us and keeps trying to bolt and play but he's always on a short leash. Poor dude. Then end is not near my friend. Today I will get a massage and I need cottage cheese. After the grocery question last week, I am actively seeing how long I can wait to really buy groceries. Love a good challenge. I was pretty darn good on food yesterday, though the scale disagrees.

OH Conference people! Beach themed party seems doable to me. Swimsuit cover up? Kaftan? Sundress? Rash guard and board shorts? Hawaiian shirt with pineapples and Speedos for Jim?

QoTD: I am very much a multi-tasker and rarely able to buckle down and dig into just one thing....oh look! Something shiny needs me!

Food:

B: leftover smoked boneless pork rib

L: leftover chicken fajita fixings. Yum!

D: No idea, my niece is taking us out for dinner. I need to preview the menu and try to find a good choice!

Peace Everybody!

UGH! Totally with you on that! There's nothing worse than seeing a 40+ year old man in a Speedo - esp if his gut is hanging out. I've seen way to much of that...

In the last year I have not been able to keep at things until I drop. I found myself having to take more and more breaks, especially when doing things like cutting grass in the hot sun. They finally found that my problem is orthostatic hypotension.

I get tired, take a break and when I stand up again, I get dizzy. At the hospital they took my blood pressure lying down and it was 120/60. Then they had me stand up and it went to 70/60. I never took blood pressure medicine and always had low to normal readings. The solution they gave me is to drink more fluids and consume more salt. One nurse suggested potato chips as a good remedy.

I have always been a person *****fuses to quit and I have forgotten to eat meals. I would plan for lunch at noon and look up and see it was 3:00 PM and I had been to obsessed to notice the time.

I think it is actually awesome to do things that you like so much that you can't quit. I found out that my self-imposed deadlines are not always possible and that it is OK if things take longer than before.

It is silly that the treatment is more fluids but it's 100%. I has having really bad issues about 8 Mos post op, they had me increase fluids to 100 oz and boom, issues gone! I am pretty disciplined now but a couple of days low on fluids and it's back. I gladly trade "more water" for no HBP meds:-)

Well. Potato chips for the win, I guess! Hopefully the water helps.
