Good mornin everyone! Hope today finds you doing well! I can't get back to sleep so I'll go ahead and post.

I got a call yesterday, we'll two actually. One from the neurosurgeon in Lubbock, I see them on September 26th. The other call is for physical therapy that I will go be evaluated for on September 8th. I am both excited and nervous...more nervous, lol. I know my spine is at a point that it needs to be stabilized...while less pain would be great I am not really even expecting it at all. I have to go today and get a disc from the hospital of my CT myelogram to send to the new doctor. I'm just glad there is movement forward. The physical therapy was supposed to be hydrotherapy but I don't think that's what I'm going for, unless this new place has the swim in place type pools.

I have to spray for weeds when the sun comes up. We're supposed to get upwards of 4 inches of rain this weekend. Of which I am very thankful! We just need help with weeds...our neighbors do not take care of their yards so it's an endless battle. Plus the critter(some type of gopher or rodent) make it difficult. No other plans for the day. Oh I do have to go to the post office to mail a package.

QOTD: I'm kind of not brimming with ideas this morning so this will be simple lol what question do you get asked the most?

mine's "did you play basketball". I get asked about 1-2 times a week at least when I get out a lot.

Accountability for today. There is pizza for dinner I will have some and I know I will.hopefully I won't eat more than two slices max! Aiming for extra small slices so maybe a half a slice of one and another half of the other kind.

B: JUST egg cup(these are different every morning) and coffee

L: ???

D: Pizza

S: 6 tortilla chips, cheese and maybe some fruit of some kind.

my photos are a mishmash.

I am glad it's Friday! Long long week and today won't be short but looking forward to the weekend!

If you were told you were going for hydrotherapy and they don't offer that be sure to talk to both them and your doc about it. You are your best advocate!

qotd - these days it's definitely "is your hair blue", yes, yes it is!

Good morning,

Glad there is forward movement for you with the doctors. That feels like it can move excruciatingly slow sometimes.

QOTD - this week, since I've been in the office three days, it's been...are you okay? The weight loss is becoming pretty obvious but it's not politically these days to mention it straight out.

Glad for Friday. Not as much energy this morning for all the reasons, so focusing on the meetings I have and getting through the day. Momma deer keeps bringing her twins up to my pasture. It's been nice to peek at them while working in the kitchen.

Old boy is in good shape except for his ongoing battle with struvite crystals. His analysis was better yesterday but he gets another antibiotic and acidic gel for now. Follow up in a few weeks.

No huge plans this weekend. Small grocery pickup planned tomorrow. After three office days I don't mind being a hermit.

Menu

Breakfast- try out the egg poacher again for a poached egg

Snack - more yogurt

Lunch - cottage cheese

Snack - unflavored unjury with fiber

Dinner - going to try some form of shrimp. New add back to the diet

Have an excellent day folks.

How were the eggs? I loved poached eggs but not making them - so I don't. How do they compare?

I'm still working out the right ratios to get the consistency I want but I love this thing! Today was a bit better. It works by adding water to the section under the eggs, popping the top on, and cooking through steam. The amount of water influences the doneness. So...we're almost there! While I'm not a fan of specialty kitchen gadgets, this is worth it to me. Hard boiled eggs have been more difficult for my stomach but these are no problem. And yes, no mess from poaching in a pot/pan! Bonus is that you can make little egg bites with veggies and whatever you want. Without calling names, they're supposed to compare to the ones Starbucks does, apparently. It's like 10 minutes and hot breakfast! They don't stick at all.
