Good morning!

That's a creepy meme. But funny.

Hope your appointment goes well. It seems like it's been a rough week or more.

I'm sitting in the parking lot at the vet to drop the dogs off. Old man is getting his annual senior workup. Little boy is going so he's not home alone all day.

Some required training today at work. A few meetings. Lots of administrative stuff to keep up with. I've been bringing in bits of backup food to keep at my desk in case of emergency. We have a cafeteria but I want to be careful this soon after surgery about what I eat. Also...saving money!

QOTD: anything that gets me out in nature. Trees give me peace. Part of why I love working from home is that I can pop outside and see all the trees.

Menu

Breakfast - planted protein

Snack - rolled turkey and provolone

Lunch - chopped up hard boiled egg, turkey sausage, mustard

Dinner - nonfat Greek yogurt

Cottage cheese to make protein goals

Exercise - 30 minutes on the elliptical this morning! Yay for 4:30 am motivation. I'm so much better about workouts early.

Have a wonderful day!

Had to Google EBTB. :) that does sound delicious! And can always use a protein bump. Cottage cheese and yogurt still go down much easier than other foods.

I always make my lunches for the week on Sunday or Monday so it is grab and go to work. I stopped using the cafeteria after eating their chicken twice and ending up with the foamies/nausea due to the dryness. I would much rather know exactly what I am getting calorie wise also. Money savings is another plus for me.

That does not sound like fun. I've seen a couple people mention foamies. After looking it up...I'm going for no thank you as long as possible. Have heard horror stories about dry chicken.

And part of why I want to control my food most of the time. I don't cook meat well because I'm not much for it but I'll know what oils, fats, and calories are in everything. It adds up so quickly.

In a previous life I was a huge food prepper! I have so many containers. Not quite back at that point yet since my intake is...variable. I still have half the crock pot chicken I made two weeks ago that needs to be thrown away. I do take the time to prep the night before each day and log everything into MFP to ensure I'm meeting my goals. Cheers!
