I hope you really didn't seriously injure yourself. over 8 months ago I fell in my kitchen and I bruised my hip. The pain lasted over 6 months. As I age, I don't heal as fast as when I was younger.

I used lidocaine patches (Rx) or herbal lotion for pain- anti-inflammatory. It made a difference. Consider getting an x-ray to check for bones fracture. Even hairline fracture can cause extended pain, delayed healing and even the bone spurs as the bones heals.

Good morning,

I'm totally that pj's person in my own way. Comfort is critical and unfortunately for the world, the pandemic changed some things there. I was always a comfort and function over fashion person...but now even more so.

QOTD - I've been reading some Stephen Baxter books. And my guilty pleasure right now is a show I just found on Netflix called Nailed It. I've never been a fan of contrived drama reality shows, so it's kind of refreshing to see these regular people trying to reproduce baked items.

It's been an interesting weekend. While some of my bruising is a bit deeper...everything still seems to be healing well (not a doctor). And something changed to where I can sip quite a lot more in an hour than before. I'm close to 10 ounces an hour now versus straining for five before. It makes it feel less like I'm constantly drowning from sip, sip, sipping. Not sure if it's less swelling or what but I do appreciate this part. I can still feel restriction but it's so nice to have a regular sip or enough to swallow a pill without discomfort.

Parts of my body seem to be functioning a bit more normally and I've been consistently meeting both protein and fluid goals for days. One week till my first follow up! I also passed a mini milestone of losing a quarter of the weight I want to lose. So exciting! Energy is still a bit up and down but it does feel like good progress.

Today's menu is still tons of water, three servings of protein shakes, and the tea I've added back for variety. Cheers everyone!

You are doing great, keep it up. We don't think about it often but what we went through is major surgery; your body is healing slowly.

I'm blown away by your intake! I don't think I was up to fluid/protein standards until well over a month out. I had a really hard time with both. Thank god for broth!

Good morning all and Happy Monday,

Hope everyone had a good weekend.

Totally relate to the meme of getting comfortable and dressed down the moment I walk through the door. This weekend, I did the normal trip to the burbs to visit the parental units. I wanted to be more active this weekend but pain dictated staying home most of the weekend.

QOTD - Below Deck. Trashy and I love it.

B: Dannon Light and Fit Coconut Yogurt, Tangerine. TJ cold brew coffee, sf vanilla, stevia.

L: Sashimi.

D: 1/2 Corned beef sandwich.

S: 100 cal popcorn

HW: 371 SW(8/9/21): 324 CW: 215. 0 lbs til goal of skin reduction surgery. I'm still looking for a new plastic surgeon.
