I am loving a summer salad right now that has strawberries, blueberries, raspberries or blackberries or nectarine. So good. Panera has a poppy seed salad dressing that is only 25 calories/serving that I am using. I highly recommend this combination.

Mornin' All!

I may be playing online Mah Jongg later this morning for the first time in over a month (three of the four of us have been away on vacations various weeks) - but one player might have to go in for some kind of scan this morning (unless they can only get her in in the afternoon), so it may or may not happen. If not, I'll go to the gym. It'll be too hot to exercise outside today. This afternoon I have to take my mother to the dentist. I have a couple of errands to run, which I'll do while she's in with the dentist, since that gives me a good 45 minutes or so. One of the errands is a PCR test. The cousin I spent the most time with in Scotland tested positive for COVID yesterday, although she thinks there's a decent chance she got it on the train back to London (where she lives), which of course I wasn't on. I tested right after I got her email - still negative - although I'll still do a PCR test since they're more accurate than the antigen tests. I do have some symptoms, but then, I've had these off an on for months, and every time I run over to take a test - and every time it's negative.

QOTD: I haven't intentionally eaten ground beef in probably 20 years. I've used ground chicken or ground turkey for chili, but I usually use sausage (fake or real) for that. I also use ground sausage when I make spaghetti - but of course ground beef or ground poultry works just as well for that...

have a great day, everyone!

B: Scottish-style scone with 2 t clotted cream and lingonberry preserves (for that Scottish/Swedish combo...). Coffee with half & half. Fairlife protein shake.

MS: probably nothing, given the heavier-than-normal breakfast.

L: chickpea/miso sandwich spread and a tomato slice on 35-calorie bread

AS: maybe a grilled peach topped with Greek yogurt

D: the Indian bean curry that's been on my menu for the last two days - maybe I'll finally get around to making it today! No rice or bread - I just eat it in a bowl.

Don't forget to replace your order for the USPS PCR free test kits. You may need one now, but if you order today as well, you'll have backups in the cabinet for minutes like these! I also was online with my prescription drug carrier and they had a banner you could check and they are including 8 tests in my shipment for refill. No charge.

I was just on Express Scripts and you can get the 8 free tests every 30 days!

that's my carrier too. Ok, every thirty days. I'm setting a reminder. Seems like my grandgirls have to test often due to school exposure, so this really helps!
