Hey there!

48 has been including everything. I thought they told me all the fluids count but could be wrong. Color hasn't been bad except in the mornings after having been on CPAP for hours.

My last blood test before surgery qualified me as diabetic according to the clinic but I never had a diagnosis and have never taken anything. No high BP. Only meds are for migraines and sleep issues.

I'm assuming things take a while to normalize after a surgery like this. I'm still up 1 pound from my surgery weight. The folks who have called to check in have only asked me to prioritize the acid blocker and the pre/pro biotic so far.

I also want to say thank you all for checking in. Wasn't really going to post here since there isn't much of a menu to speak of. :) you all rock.

At my clinic, only clear liquids count toward the 48 ounces. Sip on the protein drink(s) slowly throughout the day so that you are getting protein for healing. However, you need to concentrate on getting enough clear liquids to maintain hydration, so only count the clears towards that required 48 ounces. It will get easier over time, I can low drink 32 ounces in about 1.5 hours. I am about 1 year 3 months post-surgery.

Bone broth counts the same as bouillon/canned broth but may be more nutritious. The main thing is that your bone broth doesnt have anything solid in it.

Thanks for the feedback. I made 48 clear ounces today and two protein drinks totalling 54g. I'll take it! And nothing solid in the broth. Cheers!

Don't worry about if you have a varied menu yet or not (or ever). You'll notice people posting that don't post meals, People that do, people that post yesterdays meal and people that post what they plan and then update if it changes -- it's all good and it's all about what works for you. Your journey and your way of giving and getting support may be different than someone else's but we are all in it together (and we've all been through the various stages too!)

Good mornin Jen!

I woke up in a sour mood but that quickly lifted for which I'm thankful. I've been up since 11 something so it's going to be a long day. Enjoying my second cup of cold brew coffee.

It's going to be a freakin hot day here. They are saying 107°. Can you say ewww! I was born in the wrong geography. I need much cooler temps...of course with climate change we are all facing warmer average temps.

We have to get out this morning and do a few errands. I need to run to the post office. I should be getting two shipment of supplies from the lady I am going to make things for. I guess you could consider it contract work. Over 300 dollars worth of supplies! I am excited to get it going. Other than that we don't have a lot planned. Just staying indoors. I am going to make a big bowl of salad and I've got some chicken legs to cook on the stove top. I seem to do better with the darker meat as the breast tends to sit like a rock no matter how much I chew it. The added fat helps...I only eat one at a time so that's not to bad.

QOTD: I have used ground chicken and beef to make fajitas. Egg roll in a bowl is awesome.

B: JUST egg cup and coffee x2

L: pork taco with a salad

D: chicken leg and another salad

S: protein chips, cheese and ???

A lot of people say the same about the chicken breasts so good that you've figured out what works for you!

I always cook my chicken breasts in the slow cooker with added chicken broth. This allows the chicken to come out moist so I dont have the issue with the dry chicken because that will definitely cause me problems. I find that any meet that isnt moist (juicy) causes stomach upset/foamies.
