What's on You Tuesday July 5th Menu
Good morning! I?m at the hospital and they are getting Dad ready for his procedure. We?ve been up since 3 am.
We had a very quiet 4th and I spent a lot of time cooking. Today is all about waiting. We have a real cute hotel booked for tonight and have plans on having dinner at Scott Cohen?s Americano here in Scottsdale if all goes well today. I watched the entire ?Chopped-Sous Chef? yesterday and saw the winner got a job there. We looked it up and booked. I?ll cancel if needed, but we picked a later dinner hour so I can be comfortable Dad is in good shape for the night.
QoTD: Are you really not going to eat that last little bit? Usually it will be preloaded on my fork and my stomach will do it?s thing and I know I have to stop then. So no, not taking one more bite
menu today is completely unknown. I did pack some healthy snacks to help get me through.

Morning! I've been oddly tired since getting back. I'm an early bird-- but the past few mornings I've felt tired. I Didn't work out this morning- I opted to listen to my body and rest.
QOTD: I don't really get question anymore. I never made my surgery common knowledge among friends or family. I never wanted it to be an ongoing point of discussion.
Maybe I'll do an apple workout later, I have a 3 month fre trial.
Eats:
Bagel, scrambled egg whites, ham.
Curry chicken, rice
maybe burgers, maybe leftover tacos.
Greek yogurt at some point.

G'morning all!
Yay for a short week.
We had a great weekend. On the 4th we spent the whole day on the beach and I have the red nose and swollen lips to show for it. It was overcast, but warm, and I had sunscreen on but I guess not enough. The surf contest was a bust because the ocean looked more like a lake with no waves. But all the people who had come for the contest just stayed around waiting for the waves to show up and it became a huge beach party. By 5:00 pm though the fog rolled in and we all headed home. At some point I could hear the muffled sounds of fireworks in the distance; I guess somewhere on the coast they were still stubborn enough to have fireworks, but for us the fog was too thick to see anything. I am very grateful that Luna didn't have to suffer through them.
QOTD: not many people in my circle know I've had surgery. The few who know are used to my new version (or knew me before I had gained weight) that it's almost back to "real" Sheila, so not many questions asked.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee + barebells bar
- BBQ salmon, shrimp ceviche
- S'mores, some sort of berry pie (few bites), cherries
- Ham & cheese
- E: none
Happy Taco Tue!
