Happy Monday - What's on your Menu?

yummm, Bacon.

Hope everyone had a fantastic weekend! We were cold, dreary and grey here all weekend which is unusual for end of June; but we're supposed to get some sun tomorrow before another grey front moves in. If we get some good rain from it, it's worth the lack of sun!

I had a good weekend, I wasn't as productive as I thought I'd be but I really enjoyed my niece's birthday party -- the three year old****ting the piñata with a real bat was moments of hilarity and terror; I thought I was bad at spatial awareness! There was also the ongoing "only 5 kinds in the bouncy house at a time" yelling....I pointed out they're 3, can they even count to 5? (many of them could, as they showed me after that!).

QOTD -- It's fascinating how knowledge changes as time goes on, what is the biggest piece of knowledge that has changed in your lifetime? I'm never not going to be salty about losing Pluto as a planet but I love that there were dinosaurs with feathers. I'm not sure my friends and family are as excited every time I see a pigeon and shout "dinosaur" but I enjoy it.

menu today

coffee plus half and half X3

I found a new Torani SF syrup, Belgian Cookie - it's speculous flavored and very good.

keto protein yogurt

pb toast

I'm making enchilada fillings today for the week, I picked up a few almond flour tortillas which I haven't tried before so today I'll have the filling in a taco and see how that is.

Have a great monday everyone!

Good mornin Jen and happy Monday everyone.

Not a lot planned today, Randall is staying the night tonight. We have the kids today and tomorrow. I have 3 appointments this week...two tomorrow and one Wednesday. I definitely need a pain med adjustment and that'll happen tomorrow. I'm feeling really exhausted right now.

QOTD: hmm, good question! I would say the accountability some folks have to deal with now.

food is soooo unplanned.

So glad the graduation party went well! How much of a break does she have before starting freshman year?

Good morning ~ great meme! That Torani syrup sound wonderful and total up my flavor alley, hopefully I can find it in my area. Or I could order online, which is easier really. I had the most relaxing day yesterday - some serious lounging and murder show watching happened (Hillside Strangler and Sammy the Bull) and it was wonderful. Today I am packed and ready to go for the week. My sister called and told me she tested positive right after I'd last seen her. I'm testing everyday - still negative and no symptoms so off to work I go, masked of course.

QOTD - I'm gonna have to circle back - not enough coffee!

Accountability - I was having a small pouch day - can't remember the last time that happened. Ate a small breakfast, half of lunch and half of dinner and no snacking. Weird for me - especially on a super lazy day in front of the TV.

b- coffee, HB eggs

l-chicken, salad mix, my low fat chipotle aioli, pickles

d - grilled chicken, marinara, parmesan

s-carrots, bell peppers, my low cal ranch

Even from Torani direct it was $10 but they charge more for shipping than the syrup! My Amazon Prime membership just paid for itself.

Morning Menu peeps!

A lady I work with, her son runs a bouncy house rental business. It's a a lot of physical works setting those up and breaking them down. And I'd leave any party if I were to be designated the gatekeeper for a bouncy house. I'm in Chicago midway, awaiting out next flight to Cancun. Posting will be just as sketchy as eating for me for the rest of the week.
qotd: knowledge that changed my life: left loosely, righty tighty; the '30 days has September, April June and November' tune, and whatever teacher taught me how to figure percentages. Seriously- those I use pretty much every day.

eats:

(Airport eating) Vanilla greek yogurt with Bella vita biscuit stirred in, nutter butter cookies.
clueless rest of the day-- depends where I am/what I'm doing.

My son is still bitter that they closed the Potbelly's location in Midway. Have a great trip!
