Good morning ~ Beautiful pictures. Bacon and cornbread - omg that sounds so good, enjoy! Today is a half day with minimal work stress. The labor committee countered our compensation offer by lowering a few things and adding a few perks - not ideal but over all, I'm pretty happy. I'm waiting for the compaction adjustment list to be posted. I hope my position is on the list for an additional increase. It goes before the BOS in 2 week and is expected to pass. Kiddo is coming over this afternoon to do laundry. We may grocery shop and I'll make his favorite fish tacos. He needs some cheering up - he has had some girlfriend drama lately.

QOTD - I forgot my favorite jacket in the car of a guy I briefly dated. I never wanted to talk to or see him again so I had to let it go. It still haunts me 10 years later. I loved that jacket!

Dump the girlfriend. No need for drama and Eat the Taco's. Fish are my favorite.

Good morning and happy Friday! Not a lot on the agenda today. May try to get a massage. My hip flexors and thighs are still nagging me from all the stairs and walking and I think a massage might help send the bad juju out of my muscles. I've had no desire to do more than sit since I got back, and that needs to change. RV drop off went fine yesterday and we were back home by 11. Need to pick up a few things at the grocery store today, maybe do a return to Macy's and prep for a friend to come over this weekend. Oh and I should work on trimming my wildflower garden that is out of control out my back window!

QoTD: awwww, my favorite sun hat. Royal Caribbean has that damn thing I just know it. Top shelf of my room. It was the perfect fit for my pin head.

Pictures...so many to choose from. I'll just make myself do l handful so you all don't want to slap the cameral out of my hand! Ok, a couple more than a handful because I can't help myself this morning. The good news is it will be like a month before we get all the group photos and their photography is a much higher level than mine, so I will wait before posting more vacay photos until I see if they got anything special! In no particular order...

Sacre Coeur, Montmartre, France

Our hotel in Velinko Telanovo, Bulgaria

The after a three course meal and two bottle of wine lunch on the Eiffel Tower glow. (in my defense of the wine, there were four of us!)

The dessert "pillow" at the end of an 8 course tasting menu, with wines in Amsterdam. De Silveren Spiegel

1970's era Communistic train we took in Varna, Bulgaria

Amsterdam Canal shot. I think it is a federal requirement that everyone takes one of these shots.

Menu. Yesterday was successful both food and beverage wise. My roasted chicken turned out amazing and I have almost two pounds more of just stripped down meat. I cleaned off all the skin and bones and plan on using up the meat over the next few days. Today, I am actively planning for a glass of wine, because Friday, ya know?

B: roasted chicken and cottage cheese

L: going to try a recipe for chicken salad that uses greek yogurt instead of mayo. I'll add some tomatoes on the side.

D: I may make a roast in a braising sauce I was given. Need to decide. This is an all day roasting event, and I already have lots of leftover chicken meat. So I am definitely on the fence here. Back up plan, either chicken quiche or chicken and gravy. Add a potato for Rog, and a small salad for me.

Peace Everybody! Have a wonderful weekend. I hope you are all able to avoid this heatwave they are talking about!

Aaaaw, they are great pics. We'd love to see more too. Don't be shy.
The Montmartre one is my favorite. So many good memories from there; all the artists and little cute stuff they sell. The two of you with the Eiffel Tower in the back is great. Whoever took these pics need to learn to take their thumb off the lense.
The Amsterdam one is a classic.
