Mornin' All!
well I did well calorie-wise yesterday (biked about 12 miles to boot****il I blew it with ice cream last night...and we're talking lots of ice cream. I can't believe I did that - ice cream is one of those things I can let sit in the freezer basically forever (DH usually eats the whole carton long before I even get one bowlful). Really feeling it this morning. I just had a protein shake for breakfast because I couldn't imagine eating anything solid. I'll just wait until lunch. Although I can't dwell on the screw up - it happened and I just need to move on and do better today...
we are in the process of changing our cat room back into a guest room/cat room. Yesterday we rented a saw from Home Depot and cut the back off the old crappy couch that was in there (how it ever got in there, I have no idea - but people used to moving things know how to do such things), but we were going to toss it regardless, so it didn't matter. Got it out the door with no problem once that back was no longer in play. We already had a mattress and frame that my mom gave us - this weekend we'll go get the box springs and head board from her storage closet, and we'll be in business. The cat who normally hangs out in there is obviously happy with "his" new bed - he was sleeping on that this morning instead of on his cat tree (which is still in there).
nothing on the agenda today other than a long bike ride. I'll shoot for 20 miles today. It's beautiful today (70-ish and sunny) and will be tomorrow as well, so I have to take advantage of this picture-perfect weather.
QOTD: I don't know that I currently have a favorite move since I usually do dance cardio, water aerobics, and biking these days, but if you'd have asked me a couple of years ago, I would have said (yoga) cat tail pose (photo below). It was a terrific stretch!!
B: protein shake, coffee with half & half
MS: if I get to the point that I'm hungry, probably plain skyr with fruit compote - otherwise, nuttin'
L: protein pancakes?
AS: protein muffin
D: Caprese salad (have opted for something else the last couple of nights - but need to have this tonight before the basil dries out too much)
have a great day, everyone!

Jen
G'morning all!
LOL, Jen, your memes have been very spot on for me lately.
We are in excitement mode in this household, because tomorrow DH is leaving for 10 days on his surfing trip to Nicaragua. He is traveling with 5 surf boards of different sizes, very much like women traveling with several shoes for different occasions. He went last year to this surf paradise run by an American surfer in the middle of nowhere, fell in love with it, and this year planned to take over the camp (12 huts)! So he organized this trip with 11 of his surfing buddies. Funny thing is some of the wives/gfs/partners are really worried about the guys going to Nicaragua; they've been going online and looking for the most obscure things happening in Nicaragua, not realizing these guys are away from any civilization or other people. I joked that next year I should lead a wives support group if they go on this trip again. I also jokingly suggested to the partners staying behind to make sure the husbands have good life insurance, sit back, relax and enjoy your husband-free time. Somehow the joke didn't go down well...oops!
QOTD: arm exercises, I have seen such changes in my arms/shoulders that I really like working on them.
My meals yesterday :
- Coffee
- Hb eggs + tuna pouch
- Fage yogurt w/berries, chomp stick
- Chicken meatballs, edamame, scotch bonnet cheese
- E: 4.5 miles jog
Happy jr Fri-yay!
