We were in Venice. We will retire somewhere between Boca Grande and Siesta Key. I tried to fish at least once a week. We went back to Chicago with a cooler full.

Venice is 100+ miles north of me. It has nice beaches, famous for all the shark teeth. That part of FL is nice. Boca grande is actually in my county, by the road it is 80 miles, by boat maybe 20. I don't have a boat as I don't live on the water. The two things most people get when they move to Florida is a boat and a real estate license.
I graduated on a Thursday and didn't show back up at home until Monday Morning. No phones they had no Idea where I was or what I was doing. But I stayed at whatever house party I was at and moved on to the next.

Naw we had a huge party Memorial day weekend. But the night before I was supposed to go decorate the hall with them and my brothers kidnaped me and we went to see Brian Adams and Journey instead. They were not happy we stuck them with all the work but we got tickets from scalpers and ended up in the front row. So it is a show I'll never forget.

Wow! That would not go over well at my house. I like to know my kids are alive and safe. It will be a real change when DS graduates next year and leaves the house for college.

So different times we live in. I am sure someone's parent let them know what I was up too. If I ever got out of line my parents knew before I got home. I don't know how just know that's how it happened.

That is so true. I can remember when me and my sisters were young (pre-teen) we use to go exploring in the hills behind our house. We would be gone for hours on end and no one knew where we were. Again no cell phones.
