Happy Photo Friday! What do you have planned?
Mornin' All!
all I have today is a vet appt - one of my cats who's on prednisolone will be getting a kenalog injection this morning so the cat sitter won't have to give him his daily pred (the other cat who's on pred is out of luck, though - the vet won't do an injection for him because of his age and health status - so he'll continue to get his pred while we're gone...). Other than that, today and this weekend it's just do some last-minute things for our trip and pack. We're leaving first thing Monday morning.
QOTD: I think the worst was when I, who had just turned age 30, decided I needed to ditch my waist-length straight hair for a more "adult" 'do. So I wanted chin- or shoulder-length hair with a body wave. I ended up with one of those horrible kinky 1980s perms. I looked like a poodle. I was livid and the person knew it. All I wanted to do for the next week was wear a paper bag over my head. I eventually got sort of used to it, but I always hated it. That was the last perm I ever got.
B: Jimmy Dean's D-light breakfast sandwich (the 260-calorie "light" version). Coffee with half & half
MS: protein shake
L: probably plain yogurt with cranberry/cherry compote. I'm getting tired of this, but I need to use up this opened carton of yogurt if possible (the unopened ones should be fine while we're gone)
AS: Thor's skyr and a skinny bagel with light cream cheese
D: asparagus soup and a couple Baby Bel's (??)
have a great day, everyone!

I was surprised to learn perms are still a thing! I think the chemicals and process are much different now

I always did the opposite of perm, Japanese conditioning, to straighten my hair. Very harsh and bad for your hair. Since the pandemic and chopping it all off, I rock my hair curly and couldn't care less if somebody thinks it's not a professional look.

G'morning all!
Aaaaw, Jen, love the seal pics. It would have taken a lot of will power out of me not to touch them. She is sooooo cute!
We are planning to tackle our third peak hike this weekend. Mt Diablo. It's about 13 miles, 3,500 elevation and the hike is categorized as strenuous. I humbly ask this court to allow me the right of posting pics on Mon instead of today so that I can share the hike pics.
QOTD: neon color sweaters. And to top it off I had knitted the darn neon sweaters. I'll never forget in class I raised my hand for a question, and the prof said "yes, the young lady with the sweater that I need to wear sunglasses to look at!" I was mortified. Chrissy, I should have kept it for you, it was neon orange.
My meals yesterday :

- Hb eggs & tuna pouch
- PP w/iced coffee, jello, quest chips
