Yay!! It's Fri-YAY! What's on your menu plan?
Good morning! Had to get up to an alarm this morning. I'm on MP duty (grand-mothering) since the girls are still on spring break and their extended school program is closed for the Easter weekend. Who does the scheduling? Not every adult will get today off. Feel bad for these parents having to scramble to get their kids covered for a day. Not my kids. They are about to embark on at least 24 hours of spoilage. We have no plans yet, but will definitely get them out and about to run off energy and stay away from screen time for a bit.
I had close to a great day of food choices yesterday. As expected, our friends served only pork rib roast and asparagus, so it was easy to make good choices. But then there were Costco cookies. Usually I have no problem with them being around, but last night I ate a whole oatmeal raisin one. What kills me about that decision is I didn't even love it. I should have had a bite and then given it to Roger! And I had wine, but at least I had calculated for that decision.
Swimsuit shopping was a hit/miss. I wouldn't try them on in the store, so I bought a set home. The bottoms are doable with my board shorts, the top is a bit too snug. So I will run that back this morning and get the next size up. The real winner is our check book, as this suit costs 1/3 of the one I ordered so all those pieces will be going back. Oh and I got a email this morning that the bottoms have now been pushed out til May 13 to ship. So frustrated over that.
Menu today is going to be in the air a bit as we work to keep the grand kids entertained, but for now I think it's:
B: breakfast quiche, minus the crust
L: ???
D: grilled tri tip, tomatoes and roasted sweet potato (I'll just take the end of Rog's. He doesn't need that many carbs anyway!)
Pics for Friday are me and black dog taking a nap together (he likes to hold hands) and a giraffe one of my dear friends made me for my birthday. I love giraffes, but put the kibosh on people buying them for me years ago as I had tons. I pared down to just my favorite 4-5, but this guy definitely made the cut and I could not love him more. I'm thinking I'm going to have to find little holiday wreaths for around his neck for things like 4th of July and Valentine's day.
Peace Everybody! Have a wonderful weekend!

Good morning and TGIF ~ I resemble that meme! I'm glad you dad is okay and all settled. I know what you mean about that last hour, been there!
Today is a half day at work, which flies by every time. I have a pedicure after work, then grocery shopping and home. This weekend will be chill and productive at home with Easter dinner at my sisters house with all the family on Sunday.
QOTD - I need 8 but prefer 10. I'm in bed by 8, no joke. I'm up at 4:30 on the weekdays and around 6 on the weekends. I'm usually a great sleeper and rarely nap. If I can't sleep, something is definitely bothering me. This past week has been glorious!
