Hi Liz!
It's great to see you. Some people worry me when they aren't around, but I always feel like I have a general idea of what you are doing (beach, lunch, pressure washing, etc.).
Congratulations to you and Mike!

congratulations! I am so happy for you! I'm confident you'll get along just great in marriage, given you've been able to travel together this long! DH and I (usually) get along famously, but we've had some of our worst arguments while on vacation together - I think it's mostly due to being together 24/7. So if a couple can survive a long vacation together, they're golden!
On that note we were both cranky from a long day of travel yesterday with no food, so we had some words before we found something to eat here. We were Hangry! LOL, but lesson learned that I need to go back to my first few years after WLS and carry protein protein bars and wrapped cheese sticks with me whenever I travel. It was something the nutritionist at my WLS center taught me even before surgery, but somehow in the years when I wasn't really traveling/commuting I stopped doing it.

I should probably do that, too. It might help overdoing it when I get home! I haven't had a cheese stick in ages - and I rarely have protein bars with me unless I happen to think of it before I leave home, which I rarely do. I should keep one or two in my purse at all times - it might save my butt!!
Exactly! I used to eat everything in sight when I got home after a long commute with nothing to eat between noon and 6. My nutritionist said to always have something in my pocketbook easy to grab even if I was on the move. Following her advice, I used to plan my day to have something small to eat every 3 hours so I was never starving. I think that is really key for most of us.

I grew up in the keys, Islamorada, not Key West. I still have family there and visit often. It has changed so much and is over crowded. But I would still go back when I retire!
We are staying in Ramrod Key for the month (and in Key West for a couple of nights around the wedding).
