We have been watching 1883 the last couple of nights. We have enjoyed it. We are 4 episodes into a seven part season. The show is a prequel to Yellowstone which we have no****ched yet. It's on Paramount +, which has commercials. The commercials are particularly jarring after watching the show set in the time before most of the items in the commercials (example, Lily from AT&T selling 5G).

Plans are a little bit different this weekend. Tomorrow is our town's annual ice fishing tournament. I used to do it with my older son before he left for college, but I will be alone this year. Marilyn will visit me for a bit. Registration is at 11:00, the actual tournament is 12:00 - 3:30, and there is a raffle/prizes from about 4:00 - 5:00. Because that is an all day event, I have tried to get all of my Crossfit and lifting done before the weekend. Our gym is closed on Sundays and its still too cold to use my garage gym. So, I'm feeling it today.

So, basically, Happy Hour tonight, the tournament tomorrow and Super Bowl on Sunday. I do need to go to the mall Sunday morning and get Marilyn a valentine from Godiva. Our happy Hour is Super Bowl themed. Since we are rooting for the Bengals, our ****tails will be Black, orange and white. We went to party City and got little foam fingers to put on sirs to decorate our drinks. I will attach a picture of one later. I think that we will have chili cheese dogs with Cincinnati Chile in celebration of the game on Sunday.

That fish looks like he came out of the freezer with ice on him. No thank you sir, this is not a sport I will participate in. No thank you at all. Brrrrrrrr

back when i was working, I had an office with huge floor-to-ceiling windows that was right on the shore of a lake - so I had a fantastic view. In the winter, the ice fishers were out there - some of those folks would stay out there all day! Unbelievable! It made me feel cold just looking at them!

Tonight is only an hour, so as long as we don?t revisit the black vodka Sunday we should be fine.

We both want the Bengals to win, the underdog, but think the Rams will win. I really just want a good game!
