What's on your (PHOTO) Friday Menu?
G'morning all!
QJB - the cookies look good and festive. Enjoy your snow day. I had never heard of the backward pj superstition...too funny!
Double excitement today. I'm having lunch with a coworker who has become a dear friend; we worked together for about 5-6 years, both moved on, and after a while ended up at another company together - Silicon Valley is very incentuous. We haven't seen each other in person in over 4 years and she happens to be in my neck of the woods, so we are having lunch. And as I said yesterday, this afternoon we are leaving for the snow. I'm just like a kid jumping around with a big smile on my face.
QOTD: hmmm, not a big fan of rom-coms. But, that old movie An affair to remember, and You've got mail come to mind.
No photos today, but I reserve the right to post my pics on Mon. I'm sure I'll have tons from the mountain.
My meals yesterday, doing IF (open window 1:00-7:00)
- Coffee
- Mex cauliflower rice + pulled pork
- Fage yogurt, keto fudge, hot cocoa
- Chicken pineapple meatballs & mixed veggies
- E: 30 minutes cardio + 60 minutes weight training
Happy Fri-yay!

QOTD- I can't think of one off the top.
I had a really good afternoon yesterday. I went to the park and sat on a bench looking out at the ocean. My new binoculars are wonderful. I saw tons of whales, breaching, tail slapping and just amazing. This is one of the reasons why I'm here. I need to do this every day!
I'm doing the dog orientation tomorrow at the Humane Society so that is another thing to look forward to. I hate to say it but when I hear about the horrible weather I'm so thankful that I'm here. Sorry that you are all experiencing it. But yeah for a snow day!
QJB you are so talented! I couldn't be around all of those cookies they would end up inside me.
Have a great Friday everyone! Stay warm and safe!

Happy Friday,
Well, my DD decided not to do Running Start for her junior year of high school. She said it looks like alot of work (they basically said on the zoom meeting that each quarter the college class covers 1 year of high school classes). I am a bit disappointed because I thought it was a good way for her to get a head start on college and save money. Perhaps she will reconsider for her senior year of high school. I think she would do very well in that setting (college).
This weekend I don't have much planned. Will go skiing on Sunday per usual. Saturday I need to pick up a COVID test at the high school for DD. She is going to an event called the Stinky Sneaker, it is a cross town rivalry basketball game. It is being held at the local event arena and they require proof of COVID vaccination or negative COVID test. Then maybe a trip to Costco for a few supplies.
QOTD: There were so many great rom-coms listed by everyone it is hard to pick just one...I will go with When Harry Met Sally. I have seen it many times and still enjoy it. Someone mentioned cringe worthy themes in older movies. Has anyone watched Seinfeld recently? There is no way they would be able to make that show now days. However, still so funny!
