Hello all!

Its been a while since I have be on the site...needing to get back on track.

I,have been taking my basic vitamins since my surgery back in 2013, but I would like to add back biotin and other vitamins.

Anyone have a list of what they take?

Thanks in advance,

Annette

I think you should start by looking at your most recent lab results and go from there. Some of us absorb vitamins more than others. Some of us require more of a certain vitamin than others. You don't want to take too much of something and not enough of others.

For me personally I take two women's 50+ multi vitamins, calcium, D3, B12, two different iron pills twice a day to keep my ferritin between 75 and 100, Zinc, VitK, and Magnesium.

Ah, yes good point! My new family Dr doesn?t do blood work like my bariatric clinic did sadly.

I will have to ask him to do a thorough check of my labs and that should be a good start!

I currently take two prenatal vitamins a day (Kirkland brand) and calcium and d3, b12 sublingual and am about to add a collagen power that has biotin this weekend.

I need to find a new prenatal as Kirkland apparently won?t be making this product any longer and I truly don?t want to spend double the price of the prenatal..

thanks once again for your help :)

I add K2,(mineral mover) and use womens 50+, ( only one with amount of copper -right for me..i was having multiple blood vessels break in hands this stopped it).. take 1 every day and 2 every 2-3 days. zinc, extra d3 with mag and calcium. plus sea kelp daily for iodine... my absorption s pretty bad.if stomach is wonky I use epsom salt foot bath for magnesium.

i also use desiccated liver caps for iron..1 or 2 size 00 caps. yes i make my own..calf and buffalo liver are available... without liver pills my other iron n food does not absorb.

if you swap from prenatal to another that is not.. for long term be sure to watch your basic iron levels... closely if they begin falling address promptly.. Prenatals have all needed in them to make iron bio available.

walgreens did make a-prenatal.. it was huge..and hard to swallow-for me.worked well.
