Conference.....who is going?

I just learned about the conference that they have each year and I am so stoked. I never realized they had events too. Who all is planning on going? I would very much like to meet others who are going from here in person. If you have been before can you tell me what it is like and if you have any suggestions for someone going for the first time? I am really introverted and want to know what to expect.

I'm going. This will be my first one as well, though.

Hopefully we will get to meet. I am getting my ticket this weekend and will book my flight.

I went to one I think 3 years ago. They have a lot of one hr seminars you can sign up for once you get there. There are a lot of vendors (bariatric oriented) with their new bars/drinks/protein stuff. There are also a lot of local plastic surgeons who offer a free consultation. That was a big hit with all attendees. The conference is not food oriented, from what I remember only the last dinner is offered by the conference. They also have a fashion show and some sort of party the last night to celebrate everybody's success. I enjoyed the seminars a lot and took copious notes, but that's me!

I was going through the photos from past meetings and wow they have a lot of stuff going on. I am hoping there will be a seminar on cross addiction. That is an important one anyone who has had or is considering this surgery needs to know about.

Do you know if you have to dress up for the friday and saturday night get togethers or is that optional?

Totally optional. If they do it like pre Covid era, there was only one big get together. They might have changed the rules for this year due to the pandemic.
I do think they have seminars about cross addiction. They have various subjects. I think you can even suggest a topic by emailing them.
If you go, let us know. I noticed it's more fun when people are together and get to know each other. There were huge groups that you could see somehow they knew each other, maybe from the same clinic or something like that, and they were having the most fun.

when are you guys planning to arrive and depart? I was thinking of flying in on Thursday and back home on Sunday (the conference is Friday & Saturday)

there's an Aldi's in Santa Ana....a 40 minute walk from our hotel (or 10 minute drive)...(of course I had to look)
