What's on your Thursday Menu?
One of our neighbors was a hard-core anti-vaxer. He also made sure his in-laws, wife, and baby were not vaccinated. He was 40 years old, had a construction company, and in great shape. Last week we saw the county coroner at their house and found out he died of COVID during the night. The rest of the family all have it and his 75 year old father-in-law who has lung damage from working with chemicals is not doing well at all.
Some people are having very few symptoms, some are very sick, even with vax and boosters. For your son being 19 and healthy it is great that he is not having symptoms, but glad that they are quarantining them. There has been a lot in my area and last week the number of new cases was the highest since this started two years ago.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
That is so sad. Unfortunately not getting the vaccine has become a sign of machismo . In my book that's a huge sign of stupidity.
Yup, very happy with all the college restrictions.

G'morning all!
Well, ladies and gents, I am here to eat my words. Remember about a week ago I was griping about DS's college going online for the first two weeks of class (first day was yesterday)? They have strict protocols for vaxx, booster, 2-3 times a week testing, and masks indoor. So I was wondering why the heck would they go online if all of this is in place. Wouldn't you know that somebody somewhere wanted to teach me a lesson? DS texted us yesterday that he has Covid; thankfully no symptoms, he is quarantined, and the school is providing him with care and three meals while he is in one of the quarantine dorms. After the first scare of getting his text, and him having had asthma till a couple of years ago (he had one of those versions where eventually you outgrow it), he assured us he is fine and actually enjoying his quarantine and attending classes online. I asked him if he wanted me to go down there, but he said he'd rather have Covid 5 more times than his mom showing up on campus. That's my 19 year old for you! But I'm happy he is in a good mood and already liking his spring semester classes. He said because he has no symptoms they will let him out 5 days after the test, which was yesterday. So very thankful the school is so strict with their rules, it teaches me to never question them again.
QOTD: yup. The car beeps at me until I take it in.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: scrambled eggs & shredded cheese
- S: protein puffs + chomp stick
- D: TJ's shrimp stir fry
- E: 5 miles jog
Happy jr Fri-yay!

Good Morning Queen JB and Menuers,
Hope everyone is keeping warm. The Meme reminds me of 2 pumpkin cheesecakes I still have in the freezer due to the fact I had to cancel Thanksgiving when I had Covid. I may have an event at church Sunday I will probably take them so they do not get freezer burned. I have a manicure at noon but nothing else planed beside work.

I weigh every day and sometimes at random times but I only track if I weigh very first thing. Anything else is just directional and it is fascinating how much variation there is within a day!
