What's on your Monday menu?

Good morning and welcome to the new week! If you can, do something for your community today, in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King's birthday!
I had a great weekend, including winning the Horrible Human championship at game day on Saturday -- yay me! I won the last trophy in 2019 and then kept it through our covid-hiatus so I think it just wanted to come back to it's home. Busy week ahead to make up for having today off.
Yesterday I cooked all the things so I have easy choices for the week; I had to cook when I realized that my default "easy choice" of ever roast chicken is off limits since the only place I can get it is striking. I made chicken Chile rellanos and chicken meatballs and red sauce so they are set in the fridge for the rest of the week.
I am about to head to my personal training session, rescheduled from Friday, and then I will treat myself to a SF hazelnut mocha on the way home.
QOTD - I am ever a work in progress and have so many things to learn.
Menu today is
Coffee plus half and half X2
salami and almonds
SF Hzlnut mocha
italian sausage for dinner
Have a great day everyone.

Good morning ~Happy MLK day. It's so nice not to have to get up for work today! I still got up, but that was for our cat, Bubs. He has been very annoyed all night and all morning- so vocal. My son ended up spending the night so his dog (our Lucy) is here also and Bubs does not like the invasion one bit. Little does he know that she is moving back in with us in a week or two! Should be fun.
Today I am cleaning, doing laundry, organizing my little gym, prepping for the week - basically being productive! All good stuff.
QOTD - so many things - right now I am re-learning French and really enjoying it. Finally started piano (keyboard) lessons using an app on my ipad. I also plan to study more art history, writers and composers. All things I have wanted to do for years and have vowed to do this year.
Accountability - perfect!

LOL - I was just going to get on here to tell you that I noticed Rouge has its tubes back in stock - but you've already noticed that!! (PS - I like resistance bands, too - better than the weight machines at the gym. And I think I'm getting just as good a workout - those heavier bands, especially, can make it tough!!!)

I love it! It's dare I say, simple? So effective and convenient. I'm looking forward to the Rouge set - it should arrive Thursday!

What is the benefit of the Rouge tubes? I have 2 sets of mini bands - 1 set is better for lower body, the other upper.

according to the instructor for my senior strength training class, Rogue resistance tubes are the best on the market. Without my mentioning this, Jim (from this thread - "GreatEight") also recommended Rogue tubes when I said here on the thread one day that I was in the market for resistance tubes. So that was two recommendations. I did a little additional research and yes - people who are really into fitness REALLY like these tubes. So..i got them. They're pretty pricey for resistance tubes ($75 for the full set of six), but they seem to be very high quality.
Good morning everyone! Do you think my office will let me have to tomorrow off for MLK since today is my normally scheduled day off? No? Me either. Especially because this is a holiday we don't get. And that's ok, they are really generous with us, and we always need days like today to catch up on paperwork and such. I did very good on food yesterday. Tried a new riff I read about in the NYT with a Trader Joe's lemon spatch****ed chicken and I highly recommend it. PM me if you want the details! I also got lots of great groceries and I am set up for a good week of meals that will also make my Dad and the Hubs happy too.
Today I have the grands because of course they get the day off school. Need to go out for a couple items, but then we'll just hang out here. I've got a few projects to keep little minds busy and off screens for a while. Plus we'll take the dogs for a walk to village which will almost surely end at the frozen yogurt shop. Love that I can build these little traditions with them.
So I pulled the trigger and booked hotel reservations for the OH convention. Super easy cancellation policy, so I thought I'd be sure to save a place onsite for the hubs and I. Really hoping to meet more of you in person!
QoTD: I would LOVE to learn to speak Italian. But I feel like some people have a switch that works in their brains to let them speak more than one language and my switch seems to be wired to off. I'd also like to expand my yoga practice. But I don't see that happening until April when work takes a few steps back.
Menu:
B: pork loin chop with leftover roasted sweet potato
L: either a piece of chicken or a deli turkey and cheese roll up
D: I hope I am making chicken artichoke spinach stew!!! Need to pick up one main ingredient I forgot.
Peace Everybody!
