What's on your Wednesday Menu?
QOTD: That was so long ago I don't remember. I did not like college at all. My mother remembered my first day at school, I was 5 and in those days there was no kindergarten.....
Mom asks how did you like school. Me: It's okay but I am not going back.
Mom: what do you mean you are not going back? Me: I already know everything I need to.
Of course I don't remember that ... but it rings true. I felt like that after my first year in college ... I wasn't learning anything new. I ended up dropping out 2nd year and I regretted that.
My first real job was at 15 in an engineering office as an assistant to the secretary. I was an awful typist then, but a civil engineer decided to make me her assistant and found that I was an excellent draftsman and could do any calculations given to me. That put me in a career path I never got out of, I would quit and then someone would hunt me down and offer me a job and being lazy I would take it ... eventually opening a consulting firm with 2 other colleagues when I was 30. I liked what I was doing until I didn't. I really did like being my own boss ...
Menu: Turkey. Turkey. Turkey. Our Christmas plans got re-arranged so I am cooking that bird today. After the white meat is gone, the carcass is going to be soup. That I will freeze.

Good morning ~ Food porn, totally! Hope you can catch your breath today, JB! I'm feeling really good about some breakthroughs and progress I am making in my personal therapy. It's having a positive effect on my health - choices and goals vs self sabotage. It's unbelievable the things we carry from childhood that make us who we are today. Layer after layer...
Out of my staff of 9, 6 are out with covid or waiting for test results. I am double masking, washing my hands like a crazy person and staying away from everyone! I need to go to the front office and get the N95 masks we have available.
QOTD - Neither - both were great days for me. If I could redo a few crazy first dates I'd been on, then I'd have some stories for you! I could write a book.
Accountability - I got this!

QOTD- Neither one, but that doesn't mean I don't have regrets. I worked full time all the way through college so no real college experience.
I just made pumpkin custard. My condo smelled like a pumpkin pie. They taste like one too but without the crust. Lots of protein and feels like I'm eating something decadent.
My Mom sent me a check for my birthday, so it paid for about a quarter of my serger which makes me happy.
Have a great day everyone!
