Good Morning!
ugh! This weekend was rough.. starting Thursday I wa**** with a wave of absolute exhaustion.. I was at the gym and I was 2/5 of the way into my workout and I got so short of breath.. so I stopped and went home. I then was just so flippin tired.. like sleeping 18 hours a day and resting the other part.. I went and got a COVID test yesterday (negative! Thank god.. perk of being staff = walk in apts and quick test results).. but now im concerned that my vitamin levels may be off.. so I'm upping the ante and making sure I take them everyday and really focusing on nutrition.
QOTD: no, wish my parents pushed me to be more active.
b: coffee w sf hazelnut creamer (FINALLY have some in Canada!) egg whites, salsa, cheddar, avocado
s: yogurt w bran buds
l: chicken w veggies
s: tbd
d: chicken w veggies

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
It is funny how we "wish our parents pushed us more". My husband says the same thing about school and grades. However, as a parent I know how thankless it can be to push your children when they are not interested.

Good morning, everybody!
I'm smoking a salmon this morning. I got one of those grill top smokers at Williams Sonoma on Saturday and now I am trying it out this morning with some of the salmon that we caught in Alaska this summer. DD is coming home any minute now and my plan was to have bagels and cream cheese ready for her when she arrives. I'm behind schedule, but hopefully will have it ready for her later this morning. She had a wedding this weekend and Virginia and decided to fly straight home rather than two flights this week. But she has to work, so hence the early flight.
For starters, I bought the wrong kind of wood chips - hickory instead of applewood. Yesterday, I saw on the package that Hickory was for pork. Oh well.
I went to the mall and finished my shopping on Saturday. It was mobbed and had a heavy police presence, but no problems while I was there. Really I only shop for Marilyn and a few gift cards for trainers and my admin. Usually, I'm a jewelry guy, but with COVID, we couldn't get out for her to wear any of it last year, so I decided to pass this year. Of course, as soon as I got home from the mall and looked on Blue Nile this necklace that I had been following was 40% off. Hmmpf
Hilary, et. al. Luis Vuitton multi pochette accessoires - thumbs up?
Me and DD will be working at the dining room table for the next four days. I think that her work will be more consistently in from of her computer whereas mine is more Teams calls and bouts of inactivity.
I feel well enough to go back to the gym today.
QOTD: Hockey and baseball as a kid, football and track (shot put/discus) in high school.
Breakfast: Salmon or the bitter taste of failure
lunch: Turkey sandwich
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

That thought crossed my mind, but I'm a little nervous about the Sheila/Chevy Chase in the attic situation where I put it somewhere and forget I did so.

Haha! Found one of the presents: it was in the pocket of another present. Very logical when I placed it there, not so much when I was looking for it.

If Marylin is into LV, yeah sure.
I prefer Prada for that multi purpose pochette in saffiano, it's more classic.

G'morning all!
Had a busy weekend. Sat was a fun day with gfs, shopping, lunching, coffee and more shopping. It was fun and we all felt like we were teenagers giggling the whole time. Sat night DD arrived for the holidays. So for now our schedule revolves around her and what she wants to do until her brother arrives on Tue. I delivered different batches of my xmas crack to friends and neighbors. I had a disaster with the first batch (hot caramel spilled all over the oven and the kitchen floor) but cleaned up and started again. We went to see the new West Side Story by Spielberg; chose a small theatre 30 minutes away and got lucky with very few patrons.
QOTD: nothing competitive. Whatever the school forced us to do during PE: volleyball, basketball. On my own we always swam and played tennis during summer and skied during winter. My favorite sport is skiing.
My meals yesterday:
- B: protein coffee
- L: chicken pesto
- S: starbucks skinny latte (grande)
- D: Chicken tortilla soup
- E: 4.5 miles neighborhood wog
I might be spotty with my posting for the next 10 days or so, due to kids and the holidays. So I wanted to wish you all a Merry Xmas and a very Happy New Year.
