What's on your Monday Menu?

Many years ago, I was at a conference at the Beverly Hills Hilton. At the time the hotel was kind of at a low ebb. Something got screwed up in my reservation and they had to kick me out... into the Beverly Hills Hotel. And a bungalow no less. Not sure I blended, but nice hotel!

Nice. We didn't actually get to stay at a place as nice as the Beverly Hills. We drove past it and talked about stopping in for a ****tail, but I was so full from dinner it would have ruined it! Next time.

QOTD- A 90th birthday party for my uncle- my Dad's only living sibling. It was right before I left for Maui, and scary as no masks but we all survived.

Low key weekend I took my recycling in on Sunday after watching 1 1/2 football games. The Seahawks against the Texans and the Chargers against the Giants. I have to see how Oregon alum Justin Herbert is doing. Saturday I worked and then watched TV.

I never thought that I would complain about the heat, but it is hard to adjust. I haven't used the A/C so far this month and only use the fans to cool it down in the morning and evening. Last night was a sweat fest, my lovely cat wanted to be right next to me, so I was unable to move to the cool spots and woke at about 1 and didn't really get much sleep after that.

This afternoon I get my nails done and that's all I have scheduled this week. The over the air TV stations are still down, not sure when they will come back on. I did drive down to Wailea when I was done with the recycling. I was going to go park at one of the lots and walk to the beach. The lot I went to is no longer there, is now private parking. So I gave up and went home. I was really just checking on the roads and damage. Everything looked good.

Hi Julia...I'm kind of haunted by your fear that you may have made a mistake by moving to your new home...sooo just some thoughts and wishes and hopes from someone who is hoping that changes for you... I don't know why but I really appreciated the picture you showed of the heavy rain accumulation...I loved it because it showed that stuff may happen but then it gets fixed...that we can learn how to prepare and adjust to many many things...moving to a new place has so many new ways of living to discover...and the beaches are/can be serene, soothing and healing...I so hope the life you sought there...that you can make it happen....best wishes and take care.

I had a nice weekend. Saturday was pretty mellow and Sunday was super productive. The tree and house are completely decorated now and it's beautiful. We watched Miracle on 34th street last night (the original) with a fire going and all the lights and candles, it was so magical and comforting - especially with both Rob and my kiddo.

Still having sinus issues and they kept waking me up all night. This morning I chose to take more decongestant and go back to bed hoping the throbbing would go away instead of getting on the treadmill. I feel better, but it's still there. I'm going to pick up some longer acting meds - unless that is moot with RNY. Does anyone know? I can't remember.

I have a lot to do today, so I need to get moving.

QOTD - Last big family get together was March 2020, right before the shutdown. We were celebrating my son finally coming home from the Marines. Since then we've had small ones. We are possibly having a Christmas pie/dessert get together at my sisters this year - all are vaxed and will be boosted by then. Anyway - it will be nice if it happens.
