HAPPY FRIDAYYYYYYYY! 6 more days.

I was sooo tired yesterday, so I took a unisom last night and it really helped me sleep through the night. I still tossed and turned, and my kitty was still insistent on getting me up earlier than I was ready, but it definitely helped! I really needed it.

Photo Friday - a funny pic from a few years ago of me & Grim on a height chart. Superman & Mother Theresa? Or RuPaul & Snookie?

QOTD: What is your favorite way to exercise? I have been such a lump about exercise lately, but as aforementioned...6 more days! I am determined to get myself into some great routines with the new role. My favorite way to exercise is to run (I weirdly do like running on my treadmill, over running outside), but I've had some injuries that slowed me down. I also have an elliptical machine and a stationary bike, but I get so bored on both of those. I don't like group classes, but I would love to hear your go-to routines for some inspiration!

Food was on point yesterday :)

B: Protein Coffee & Eggwich

S: Babybel Cheese

L: tbd - catered lunch for a meeting

D: Feels like a Taco Night, but I am not sure I will be home in time to go out. If not, I will have to forage the freezer.

Great picture. I love that chart. My favorite way to exercise is anything that involves a swim suit and a pool, or lake, or the ocean. I really miss water aerobics but too afraid of COVID to be inside with a group. So my exercise is a recumbent bike with iFit. I have been doing a couch to 40 iFit program for about a month and am getting stronger.

It involves a lot of fast cycling on mountains. The part I am doing currently is in Iceland and the scenery is fantastic. So many volcanos and breathtaking waterfalls.

It took most of last winter to finally get my bike delivered and set up. And I started in September. But they were sold out and far behind in manufacturing them. Then delivery was behind and I could not get a technician to come to the house. All COVID related. It was nice this year when the pool closed on Labor Day to have my bike and programs set up to get me through this winter.

I plan my day to include 45 minutes of exercise almost every day. If I am really busy or tired I do skip a day.

Yay for only six more days JB!

Not all to much planned for the day. I'm hoping to not have to go out but I think my mom wants to go to a certain dollar tree for solar lights. We might go to Walmart. I want to get some salmon fillets but I'd rather get those at a different place.

I'm so completely worn out. Oh crud...I forgot I have an appointment with the pain management place today. My mind is just so spaced out. I need something different for pain so I can function more. I can't even sleep all that much and especially well. If it could help with that it'd be great.

Really loving the cricut! I wish I could get a glowforge so so much now! I'd love to do the wood cutting stuff...some of it is so pretty! I got some wood veneer sheets that I can cut on my machine that should be here this weekend or Monday. I'm excited to try some stuff with that. I still need to work on some technique stuff. I'm just excited to have a craft that I can do at the moment.

QOTD: I used to love Zumba and dance workout videos. Also I love riding a recline bike. Everything is hard now. Even the recline stationary bike is a no go. But 5 minutes in my whole back side down is numb and very painful. I miss it so much! It's been part of my deep depression and subsequent weight gain. I hope in another year or so I'll be able to be more active.

B: JUST egg, Swiss cheese and coffee

L: pasta, pesto and a Italian sausage meatball - no much pasta...maybe half a cup

D: hopefully smoked salmon!

S: ???

Pics are some of my projects. The purple shirt is all mine, the chihuahua is for my niece Rachel and the other two are ornaments!

I need to work on placements a bit but I may do customs for friends and family once I get a bit better!

I saw a few different models of Cricuts yesterday when I took my mom to Michael's so she could return something. She's been doing - and selling - Polish paper cuttings for YEARS and I was wondering if this was something that could be more easily done on a Cricut (it takes a really long time to do some of these). Although she's in her late 80s and I'm not sure if she'd adapt to one of these. Anyway, here's a photo of the kind of thing she does (this isn't hers -- I just happened to find this pic on the internet - but it's the kind of thing she does. She cuts out the black background (which takes FOREVER for the more intricate designs) and then cuts out the color pieces and glues them on. It's the black background that I was thinking could be done on a Cricut - or could it?)

Beautiful!

If someone else had created the file she could have the Cricut cut it so that all she need to do is assemble. But if designing it is the thing she loves, she'd need some pretty good computer design skills.

I'm happy to talk more about it if you want!
