What is the support program before and after? How long does it last? What is the definition of success for the practice? How long is the tracking and what is the long term success rate? Requirements pre-op (weight loss, liquid diet, etc); their post op recovery (programs vary greatly) and long term guidelines (again, huge variation here).

I would also ask what he/ she thinks your best options are for WLS .... Lately there's been a huge push ( by surgeons) to promote the sleeve which is a very safe and quick surgery compared to the others , namely RNY and DS .

But we often see here in this on the website that's it's not enough - I believe the average sleeve patient only loses under 80 lbs and keeps off about 40. Often sleeved folks come here seeking revision advice ( not that it doesn't happen to RNY recipients either but perhaps not as often ) .

Revisions are rarely covered by insurance and definitely don't work nearly well as getting the right surgery the first time . Congratulations on getting this far and welcome !
