Your little wooden coin is amazing. Think how long it would take to do that without the aid of a computer.
If I ever get brave enough to travel again, I would love to take that Cape Cod train ride.
While I am still wearing a mask and hesitate to go into a store, I am making long term plans for when things are better. There is a glass-topped train ride through the Canadian Rockies that has been on my bucket list for a long time.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
Good morning! Another rain system over us today. No complaints, I love rain and we can always use it around here. I slept great in my real bed last night and feel ready for the day over here. I hope the day goes fast because I am seeing one of my oldest, best friends for dinner tonight at her place. It's always a super good time with lots of laughter, and usually too much wine.
QoTD: I just finished Northern Spy (loved), and almost done with Tom Hanks work of short stories (liked) and about to start Deacon King Kong. I always have multiple books going and it makes my husband crazy. I love this question because we are going to hit the road a week from Saturday, and I need to load up on books for my mornings with coffee. I'll be watching everyone's answers!
Food today:
B: hb egg, 1/3 c cottage cheese
L: leftover bits of pork chop and skirt steak and the smoked broccoli (yum!)
D: tbd. But my friend always lays in little meats and cheeses for me so if they all pick pizza or something I'm golden.
Pics today
PB&J Old Fashioned made with Skrewball Peanut Butter Whiskey and Luxardo Cherries. Jim, if you can do carbonation, an ounce or two of soda water takes the sweet factor way down, and it's still just as yummy! I've got this pegged at 180 calories for one ****tail and it will stay in my repertoire.
My sweet black dog using ALLLLLLLLL the couch in the RV:
And finally, our dessert at the cool live fire restaurant we went to. House made graham cookies, house made marshmallows, and dark chocolate with sea salt. You get to roast your marshmallows over the pot of coals they bring you. I had exactly 1/4 of this dessert and took my other quarter to my friend yesterday at the hospital rehab. My husband left no crumb behind.
Peace Everyone! Have a lovely weekend!

You have a very strong will power, I would have wolfed down that dessert in a heart beat.

Deacon King Kong was a great read! Let's discuss when you are done!
We had a lovely tasting and lunch at a winery called Ackerman. It was a restored Victorian house in downtown Yountville.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!!
