What's on your Monday Menu?

Good morning! Our weather here is just perfect these days and we've enjoyed being out in it. Yesterday we had a Foundation meeting outside and got to catch up with our board member friends. It was really nice. I did really great on food all day. Today I am about to pop over to the butchers. I've got a fun menu lined up with two new recipes to try.

Sidebar -- yesterday after making good choices all day, my stomach started killing me. I thought gas, but it went on all night. Really intense pain, very low in my gut. I'm still in pain today. I tried gas relievers, without much help. Any ideas from you more experienced folks? I am looking every second of my 59 and a half years this morning.

QoTD: I pretty much gave up fast food 15 years ago or so, except for local taco shops. But I always say I grew my daughter in me on McDonalds Quarter Pounders with cheese. Now if I need something fast, I do head to Chipolte's. Hold the rice. But it's very uncommon.

Menu: I'm going gentle to see what happens. Thinking...

D: Edamame spaghetti with TJ's turkey marinara.

Good morning ~ Sound like a good balance of a weekend, QJB! Good luck with onboarding today, I hope it is a success. I had a nice weekend of relaxing, eating and napping- but also a run up to my kiddo's place with sick care supplies - He has really bad chronic tonsillitis and ended up in the ER Saturday (worried about strep and covid - both were negative). I wish he would follow up and get his tonsils out once and for all. It's so hard seeing him suffer like this. As young people do, they feel better and don't follow up. It drives me crazy. Another round of steroids, antibiotics (Just in case he does get strep - as he tends to) and pain meds for his cracked and bleeding tonsils. No joke - my poor baby.

I was hoping for a smooth sailing week since I worked my ass off last week to get to a good place, but I have some emails suggesting otherwise... ugh.

QOTD - Taco Bell. They are comfort food to me starting from my 20's in my college town they are open all night - so after the bars or hangover food in the morning - it was everything. Anymore it's my emotional go to. Love Taco Bell.

Every now and then, I still do Taco Bell. They were legit one of the first places to offer drive thru options that were vegan. Those black bean burritos slap!

And now I want a bean burrito!

I hope he feels better soon. Don't you hate it when they are "adults" and you are no longer the decision maker for their health and treatment plan?

It kills me like you would not believe - I want to cut them out myself at this point

Good afternoon everyone...late post from me.

I feel like such a gigantic pain in the ass to everyone. My adjustable bed arrived Friday. It weighed 70 pounds. My brother came over yesterday and acted like we about killed him. It was a big pain in the rear. The mattress just came an hour and a hal*****hankfully the delivery places brought them to the porch and garage. It's all set up for the most part. My mattress topper is out for delivery. I'm so happy with the mattress and the whole thing is very comfortable.

Mentally I'm not doing great but what's new. I'm so tired of feeling this way.

We have the kids after school today and then Friday night they are staying the night...yes all three of them...because my SIL's friends mother passed away and they are going to the funereal in Dallas. Then Sunday my nephews birthday party is here. Not to thrilled.

QOTD: I am not much on fast food. I guess whatabruger or Sonics.

Food is all wonky so who knows.
