several cooking mags and articles sing the praises of using mayo in baked goods. The thought of it grosses me out, too - but evidently it makes for a great bakery product...
Using it in baked goods doesn't get to me but the ones that say to use it for grilled cheese instead of butter make me gag a bit. I can see how it would work but nope, not for me
IKR? I see that mayo on grilled cheese "trick" a lot. NOPE! I can only tolerate mayo on very few things - like certain kinds of sandwiches. and then, only very thinly spread. Otherwise, no. Gag. I have the same feelings about ketchup.
