What's on your Wednesday menu?
She had a strangulated hernia and a bowel obstruction, so she had emergency surgery. Had to resection the bowel since part of it was dead... and of course repair the hernia. She was in the hospital for a week. She's ok now, but still pretty weak. We were afraid she'd fall or something at home... do for the next few days, one of us will always be here (I'm at her apt now)
No...not WLS. She's always been SUPER thin (5'6" and weighs about 110). And yes... she was alone. Luckily she was able to get ahold of DH... but it probably would have been better if she called 911 since it probably took him 45 minutes to get over here (we were out on our bikes when she called). But at least they got her on in time!
hi all- late post for me- feel like i'm in a mad dash for end of the week to leave.
QOTD: hard one because I love thanksgiving and christmas. I'm going for thanksgiving because i like turkey over ham and cornbread dressing and gravy is awesome. BUT I like the peppermint mocha of 'christmas' over pumpkin spiced everything.
i need to go fix some food downstairs and I'm limited since we are leaving. I have regular eggs i can have, low carb wraps, yogurt, lunch meat, dinner is salmon and probably cheese grits for DH.
G'morning all!
My last post from US. Leaving today for Italy. So excited. All the docs are finally loaded up and the airline literally gave me the green light. They have you in red, yellow or green zone while you load up the travel docs (vaccine, test, entry form into Europe) and once everything is loaded up and approved you get the green light. One little sanfu is I have bought too many presents and my suitcase is over the 50 lbs limit. Hope they don't make me pay through the nose, but looking at the plane seats half of it is empty so I hope they'll be lenient.
QOTD: Xmas has always been my favorite. And then halloween.
My meals yesterday: I was going all over the place yesterday and doing/getting last minute stuff. So it was just protein bars, premier protein and at the end of the day a couple of hb eggs.
Have a great next 2-3 weeks while I'm gone. I'll try and log in when I can. After the initial jet-lag I might actually be up and about when the early risers post here, so who knows.
Arrivederci a tutti!
