Hey Gang! Hope you all had a good hump day! I am just in that crunch time again where I can't come up for air at work. In fact, I think I need to take a week off of OH again, just to ensure that literally every waking minute is processing our new hires. We have 1500 new employees that need to be entered into payroll by 12pm on 9/2 or they don't get the first paycheck and our department is so short staffed that its painful. Anyway, I will be back after that. Wish me luck!

Also, hopefully when I am back I will have some job news, too. The job that is close to home told me a week ago that I would hear something early this week and, nothing again... It's been 3 weeks since that awesome 2nd interview and I am dying. Literally. Killing me.

QOTD: How much of the United States have you seen? It's always been my dream to do a road trip across the US. I have my route all mapped out and everything! But as of now, I have seen a good portion of the East and West, but only dipped my toe in the Middle and South.

I don't even know what to say about food. My nausea was so intense for a few days. It's still a little lingering so I haven't eaten much in a few days. I am back on solids that are not just bread & crackers (yay!), but there are only certain things that I feel like I can tolerate, so its been sparse. I am down 2.5 pounds since Saturday, but I'm sure it will pop back up when I start to really eat again. Luckily, I am too busy to even care, lol. Here is today's "plan":

B: Protein Coffee & Costco Egg Bite

L: Chomps Meat Stick

D: ?? maybe another egg bite?

Good morning, All!

JB, I know that you have been so busy, hopefully you will have good job news when you come back on the 2nd. Quick post for me because I have a morning appointment and Im going to try and squeeze in a 6:30 gym class beforehand. I will probably circle back.

QOTD: When we visited Theodore Roosevelt National Park in July it was my 50th state.

Breakfast: protein bar

lunch: Mahi burger

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!

Good morning everyone! QJB, sounds like you are physically feeling better at least! That's good news. It's important to get everyone paid, so good luck with your next week of crazy work.

QOTD - only Maine eludes me. There are so many amazing places to see and visit; we truly have some version of just about every type of landscape in the US.

I'm taking a class this morning at 7 am and starting my workday a bit later which also puts my food plan a bit wonky.

the usual coffee and half and half, plus I'll have some overnight oats before I head out, lunch and dinner will probably be left over chicken breasts from my grill a thon on Monday, it's so good.

Have a fantastic Thursday everyone, the weekend is clearly in sight!

Mornin'!

it's my sister's b-day today, so another potentially heavy eating day - UGH. Although I'm going to try to control it. After this it should be smooth sailing for awhile. I really dread these social event-packed weeks. I sure wish I had the resolve I had during my first year post-op...

We're having some landscaping company come this morning to take down our dying birch tree, heavily prune our beginning-to-die maple (which the estimator said could last another decade, so we decided to have the dead boughs taken off rather than take down the whole tree), and trim some bushes that are too tall for DH to safely reach the tops of. DH will be here while they're here, so I'm going to go to water aerobics.

QOTD: I've been to all of the states east of the Mississippi except for Maine. West of the Mississippi I've been to Minnesota, North Dakota, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas, Colorado, California, New Mexico, Arizona, Washington, Texas, Oklahoma, and Nevada.

B: cheesecake-flavored yogurt pie with 1/4 diced mango, coffee with half & half (I'm not hungry at all and normally would have had a protein shake, but figured I should eat something more substantial before water aerobics...)

MS: protein shake

L: ??? Maybe something like an Aldi's or Costco version of an Egg McMuffin - one of the lighter ones. Hopefully that'll stay with me for a long time.

AS: Keto bar (worked like a charm yesterday - full for hours!)

D: pulled pork, small piece of cornbread, beans, coleslaw, cake

have a great day, everyone!!

I would be careful with that beginning -to-die maple. My mom had a huge maple tree fall last October and just missed the house. Only one branch showed signs of dying, but the inside was over half rotted. You couldn't tell from the outside and a not so big wind came and with all the leaves still on it was just enough to drop the tree.

yikes - thanks!! They'll be coming back in another week or so to grind the stump of the birch tree they took down, so I'll ask them about the maple then...
