I had those in a million colors back when I was in college. They're probably still around here somewhere - like in a box up in the attic...

I'd love to try the Hoka, but every time I go in due to my plantar fasciitis they recommend ASICS. I've been stuck with them for the last 4-5 years. Let me know if you end up with hoka. They look so light and cool.

I had plantar fasciitis for YEARS but its gone now. I thought it would never go away. Any little foot pain and I'm in my orthotics asap - I don't mess around. I am leaning towards HOKA - my hairdresser is a runner and swears by them (and Teenie too!) When a runners eyes roll back in their head talking about a shoe, it really says something....

My last few running shoes have been Karhu optix.

I had never heard of these - I had to look them up. They are not on the Running Warehouse brand list where I live. Do they have these at Fleet Feet? I wish there was one around me, I'd love to check them out. Have you ever worn HOKA? I know you used to wear Saucony and Mizuno, not sure what else.

I think Karhu are exclusive to Fleet Feet (or online). I have tested Hoka and didn't like the "role" they made me feel. I started with saucony then switched to Mizuno- good memory!!
