What's on your Thursday Menu?
We all gotta start somewhere. You can get back to the run. BTW. If I had an opportunity I would Sell HOKA running shoes for a living. Never thought I would change from my Brooks but I love these. I am in need of a new pair myself I have over 400 miles on these since Easter.

I used HOKAS for work when I was in the ICU. My feet no longer ached after 12 hours on my feet. They are the best. However I like my Brooks Ariels. I am not a runner though.

Focus on your win of staying the course all day. Tell yourself that if you still want the treat in the morning you can have it then if you stay the course during the evening. Most likely you will not want it in the morning because you feel so good about your success the night before. However if you still want the treat in the morning allow yourself a little then keep on track the rest of the day. That was advice I was told and it does work.

Hi All
the week slips by so fast that before I know it several days have passed since I posted. This week I have felt hungry a lot. I was worried that I was developing an ulcer since I started baby aspirin. But I asked the Bariatric surgeon about baby aspirin and he said it was rare to develop an ulcer with baby aspirin. It could be my body trying to get me to eat more. However I am resisting the urge to eat more. Kcals have been >600

Oooof, no--I think that is really bad advice. Avoid all NSAIDs, even topical ones, because it is about how it hits your bloodstream. The risks of getting an ulcer in your remnant stomach that becomes inaccessible to treat are too high and so dangerous for us! Don't do it!

This is what my dr said as well; even things like the NSAID gel are off the table and really drilled in the risks of the ulcer, internal bleeding, death, etc.
