What is a protein ice cap? It sounds delicious to me!

It's protein, coffee, ice, sweetener blended in the blender. I usually use a premier protein shake for the protein and add collagen peptides. It's super nice in he dummer, similar to Tim Horton ice cap.

I have not, but I did go to therapy for a few sessions to work through some bad childhood things. I hope you feel better soon.

Have you ever seen the movie Sliding Doors? Freaks me the F out, but its all about how little tiny life choices can affect your whole future. What if I never logged onto OH post op? What if I never replied to him? CRAZY to imagine how life would be different.

I met DH in a Yahoo chat room an refused to meet him because of the age difference. It will be 20 years from when we met this December. As I always say. As I quote Pulp Fiction. Goes to show you never can tell.

Good morning, everybody!

Great news about the job, JB! Fingers crossed.

The fam made it out to Colorado yesterday. It sounds like an uneventful trip. Marilyn said that the wildflowers in Colorado and Western Nebraska were beautiful. I don't remember the flowers when we dropped him off last year - maybe we were traumatized by our baby going away. In any case, we are back to one child in the house for the next year.

My youngest got an appointment for his driver's test on September 1. It will be a great relief if he passes. Then onto college applications for him.

Working in the office was a waste. I already cancelled today's reservation. Chicago is back to an indoor mask mandate, and I am not going to spend the day masked when I could just as easily telecommute. Plus nobody else was in the office, the traffic is still brutal and all the lunch spots are closed.

The positive news is that the Palm was open. Apparently, Landry's bought the palm during COVID. My Palm points are converted to a Landry's card. The Landry's points seem pretty good and they own a lot of restaurants. BUT, I had enough points at the Palm to get a caricature drawn on the wall and I don't think that they will do that under the Landry's system.

QOTD: Interesting question. In behavioral finance, one of the principals is that people are biologically conditioned to be overly adverse. In general, the pain of losing outweighs the joy of winning. I think that statistically, most people get about the same amount of emotion (good or bad) from winning 2 as losing 1. 3 bad and 1 good is way skewed from that. So I guess that I will take 4 years of meh. With that said, I have been fortunate in many respects and meh has been pretty good.

Breakfast: sausage and cottage cheese

Lunch: Mahi Burger

Dinner: Hello Fresh

Have a great day, all!

The Palm paid for my husband and I to spend 2 days in NYC and see Wicked on Broadway a few years ago!

Sounds fun! I also could have exchanged my points for Tiffany's gift cards, but steak points weren't top of mind in April 2020.
