It makes my heart so happy that's she's doing well!
She ended up getting three awards, A B honor roll, perfect attendance and a book challenge award. I'll share a pic tomorrow of her from today!
thanks on the hair! Some days I love it other days(humid days) I tend to hate it LOL

Good morning all! Today is my first day of working on vacation. So since I had to be up so early and everyone else is still asleep....figured I?d post. Not looking forward to work today since we have family coming in to spend the day. They will all be going out on the beach and to the water park with the kids while I?m stuck inside working. Blah. Oh well, what can ya do right?
My eating while on vacation hasn?t been on plan at all, but I have been making adjustments here and there like when we went out for Mexican the other night I got the chicken fajitas with corn tortillas instead of flour ones. Also been watching my portion sizes. I have been good at getting some form of exercise in daily though. Each day since we?ve been here I?ve been taking my morning walk on the beach. Walked between 5-6 miles each day. Saw some beautiful starfish as well which I?ll try to post pictures of tomorrow. Not sure what I?m going to do today for exercise since I?ll be glued to my laptop all day working, but will try to get some form of exercise in.
QOTD: I wear pretty much the same hairstyle daily which consists of putting my hair up in a ponytail....fancy I know. Lol. I do wear my hair down from time to time if I?m going out somewhere, but even there hairstyle is pretty much the same.
B: coffee & maybe some eggs?? Dad usually makes breakfast so not sure what he?s making.
L: Think we are doing burgers & hotdogs so one of those without the bun.
D: Going out for seafood so maybe some grilled scallops & shrimp or fish of some sort.
S: premier shake & fruit
Surgery: RNY on 1/23/19

Oof working from vacation is just cruel. I hope you get to knock off early and enjoy the beach!
Mornin' All!
oh glory day - today is the day we get our two refrigerators replaced! The current ones still work - the kitchen one is 17-18 years old and the basement one was here when we bought our house 23 years ago, so God knows how old that one is - but they're certainly near the end of their lives, and I'd rather replace them before they die than come home one day to a flood and rotten food. They're supposed to be delivered between 2:00 and 5:00 this afternoon. I'd love to be able to go to water aerobics from 12-1, but by the time I get showered and changed and drive home, it'll be at least 1:30 - and possibly later - so that doesn't give me much time to empty them out if it turns out the delivery guys show up at my door at 2:00. i probably should find some other cardio class - or youtube video - to do today (now watch them show up at 4:45....).
other than that, I'm a day behind in my documentary class, so I'll finish watching a movie this morning that i started last night (and so far it's a really good one!), watch today's lecture and movie later on today, and try to get caught up with the readings (two days' worth) - ugh. Did I tell you guys I'm starting a documentary film discussion group? It's a new "interest group" I decided to create for one of my social organizations (this organization, in addition to regular luncheons and such, sponsors tons of interest groups of various kinds - bicycling, kayaking, Mah Jongg, bridge, book discussion groups, etc). My new group was posted about a week ago and we've already had six people sign up - I may cap it and start a waiting list since six people sounds like a good number for such a group...). Anyway, I chose one of the films we watched in my documentary class as the first film the group will discuss at our initial meeting on June 22. And I'll likely choose a couple more films from this class for our future meetings - so this class has been helpful in more ways than one!
QOTD: well, for years I had the same cut - shoulder-length, layered in the front so I can blow dry the front of it back. About two years ago I decided I wanted to go shorter, so now it's chin-length, also layered in the front so I can blow dry the front of it back. So I basically have had the same cut for probably 20 years, it's just a few inches shorter now that it was a couple of years ago.
B: skyr with some kind of fruit. Coffee with half & half.
MS: protein shake
L: probably that Cambrian-era bean burrito from my freezer that I was planning on the other day but ended up eating something else
AS: protein muffin - or else 1/2 of that plus a L&F yogurt
D: I've been thinking about a roti or 1/2 a piece of naan topped with those Costco madras lentils and some of that hot garlic/pepper paste that Romeo sent me home with the other day (which he packed up before he made the pass at me)
have a great day, everyone!!

Happy new refrigerator day. I would love to get a 2nd one (mostly just a chest freezer), but I just can't justify the space it would take up in the garage.
That's really cool that you started a film group. We have a small independent theater near my old condo that did film groups every Wednesday. They'd run an old, foreign or indie movie and then everyone would go out to a restaurant down the road to discuss. Such a fun little group, I wi**** was closer to where I live now.
I would love that! I'm in another film group, but that one has been meeting for years so they're all best buds. Unless the film was REALLY complicated or interesting, they discuss it for five or ten minutes and then spend the next hour goofing off (we always met over lunch - but met on Zoom for 14 months of COVID. I would prefer to take a lot more time with the films, but whatever...I was the last to join the group, so I don't have much clout. But with this new one, we can do that. Three of us know each other, but three are new - so we'll probably spend more time discussing the films - at least at first...

Sounds like my book club. We talk about it for 3 minutes tops! But we've been together for 15+ years so the book is just an excuse to get together.
hi all
QOTD: generally keep long layers, my hair is really thick so have to keep it under control. sometimes I get bangs :)
I was back on plan yesterday- kept the eating low. ate last of charcuterie this morning which was a little cheese and salami, joseph 60 ca pita and 5 grapes which one ended up being a tomato- not ok
rest of day- leftover roasted wings, yogurt, rotis chicken bites. not sure what else.
trying for 2.5 liters water today.

Bangs are the best but I can't be trusted with them because I get overzealous and cut my own. #neveragainbangs
