Skin

I have noticed a lot of loose skin. I am 6 months post op.. and it er.. sometimes makes sounds when it smacks around when moving (like my arms for example) .. it does make me a little self conscious and I may consider plastic surgery down the line. Loose skin is normal and to be expected after losing large amounts of weight.

Learning my new normal, one day at a time.
Does anyone else have issues with loose skin? I feel like I am wearing extra layers of clothing and my face looks like it's melting. I know I am healthier and that's important but I am uncomfortable in my own skin
yes, loose skin is pretty much a side effect of weight loss, especially the amount of weight morbidly obese people lose.
about all you can do about it is plastic surgery to remove it.
Skin is a side effect however age plays a part in this process. If your in your 30's and under do not run to a plastic surgeon right away. You still have a chance of your skin bouncing back since it still has a lot of elasticity. Hit the gym and give it a year after you hit you goal if your still uncomfortable then seek out a great plastics guy. However if your older the gym can only do so much. Hope this helps and good luck in your journey.
