My brother always told us that there was a man who lived in the closet. I remember one night waking up and screaming for my mother because the man was looking at me. It turned out that my father had come in and hung his suit and hat on the closet door to air out. In the dark I was sure it was a man.

The summer that Jaws came out, I was on vacation at Virginia Beach. Some kids came out of the water screaming that they had been bitten by a shark. The had blood on their legs. The beach was closed down for the rest of that day.

The next day it said on the radio that the kids had taken broken glass into the water and cut themselves. But I did not go back into the ocean for the rest of that vacation.

Morning! I wrote out a whole post yesterday morning and I went to edit a single word and my backspace deleted my entire post. I gave up. I'm glad today is Friday - it's been a long week even though it was technically a short one.

QOTD: I grew up in a really old house. Built around 1820 or so. My closet off my bedroom also had a door to the hallway (old houses have such weird rooms). My mother used to leave my closet door open and turn the light on in it as a "Night light". I used to wake up and see a man standing in my closet. It happened most of my childhood. I also used to have dreams about the man closing me in a box and leaving me trapped and I'd wake up screaming. I think I totally exhausted my mother for a few years there.

My Food:

  • Egg, Sausage, Sweet Potato
  • Turkey, Cheese, Cucumber
  • TBD, it's take out night and no one seems to have a strong opinion yet. Maybe Sushi?

Since Tropical Storm Bertha came by earlier in the week it has felt like hot breath outside. Super high humidity, intermittent rain and storms. I picked a dry spell this morning and I did a nice 3-mile walk.

I keep forgetting to add my photo on Fridays! Today I decided to come back and edit.

Good morning JB and Menuers,

OMG I love your mask. They are making us wear masks in the common areas at work. The people who have been working from home are trickling back into the office and they want to keep them safe. Everyone who worked from home had underlying conditions that made them high risk for the Covid-19. But it was ok these last 9 weeks when we were all here working. I would wear that mask here in a heartbeat I am so pissed. At least I don't have to wear it in my office.

QOTD: I never had monsters under my bed, However I always had dreams that I would fall through the back of an open back stair case. You know the stairs you can see through.

Accountably: Was great yesterday; I did have one piece of Jack Daniels fudge but that was my only cheat. Oh I am lying. They have Dill pickle flavored Cashews in 100 calorie packs back at Aldi and I had a bag of those. I absolutely love them. Just glad they are in portion packs or that could be a problem.
