What's on your Tuesday Menu?

That's good to know. I usually avoid the cape because weekend traffic is ridiculous and I'm never free during the week but I'll probably figure a way to check it out. My cousin just invited me to stay at her vacation house in Yarmouth Port for a week so I'll be down at some point!
If you are working remotely or can take time off you should. I always forget how beautiful it is until I return home from Florida.

Morning! Back to the grind today right? I start my 2nd summer course this morning. This one is a sociology class focused on Human Trafficking and I think it might kill me to read this stuff. I also just learned that the university I attend (different from the one I work for) is starting classes on 8/5 instead of 8/17 and therefore I won't have any break between Summer Session II and Fall Semester. I normally bank on having a week of classes under my belt before we deal with "Fall Rush" at my job. This year will be interesting.
QOTD: I was a Hoho girl for sure. We used to have a "dessert drawer" and we were allowed one after lunch or dinner. I also loved Cosmic Brownies, Nutty Buddies, and Honey Buns (which I didn't discover until I was a broke late teen). I haven't eaten any of those things in a very long time - since well before WLS, I think. But, that's mostly because even when I was eating much larger portions I still cared a lot about my blood sugars and there's nothing doable about Little Debbie or Hostess in that regard.
My Food:
- Coffee with Cream x2 (or 3)
- English Muffin, Bacon, Egg, Cheese
- Turkey, Cucumber, Dill Dip, Cheese
- Jon's making Stromboli. I will have a small piece and supplement with veggies.

Kudos to you on working so hard on school and work! I went part-time for both my undergraduate and graduate degree after married, with a child and working full-time so I know what a sacrifice it is. But all worth it even if only for self-esteem, though there are obviously other pay-offs (including your adult children later respecting and emulating it which I didn't expect). When people ask me about school I tell them that I went part-time for about a thousand years (it was more like 10).

Thank you! I really value what I'm doing, because I left the first time after 3 semesters because my Mother and Step Father were killed. Then 7 months after that I found out I was having my first daughter and life just happened. I made the decision 8 years ago to take a lower position at a University just so I could go for free. So I've been working on this for 8+ years now. I'm hoping to be done December 2021, but that will depend a lot on what I can manage with COVID related items that come up at work, school, and for my kids.

You are doing a wonderful thing for all of you. So sorry about your Mother and Step-Father. Tough to recover emotionally from that kind of loss. But often loss does make us stronger.

Human Trafficking, God bless you!! Having a 16 year old daughter that terrifies me all the time and is exactly why I never let her out of my sight. I'm lucky that she loves to be home with her family. Good luck with school, I'm sure you will rock this semester!

Oh Cosmic Brownies.... forgot about those! So chemically and gross but so so so good, nonetheless, haha.
