Good morning, everybody!

I am really glad that its Friday. We have a group happy hour by Zoom at 5:30 with three of my partner's and our spouses. It's the group that we travel with. Instead of going on the river cruise through Portugal we are just video chatting. Usually, if me and Marilyn finish a whole bottle of wine, I will fall asleep on the couch before 9:30. If we drink two bottles, I fall asleep and don't wake up until morning.

Tonight, we are having some mixed drinks that DD sent to us from Texas. I am going to try and drink really slow.

QOTD: I have been trying to find home fitness equipment with very little success. We did find a 53 pound Kettlebell on Facebook and drove 45 minutes each way to buy it from some guys house. But I have been stalking Dick's for certain items and they are all out.

Breakfast: peanut butter toast

Snack: protein bar

Lunch: Hello Fresh

Snack: nuts

Dinner: TBD, maybe just cheese and meat at happy hour

Have a great day, all!

I found my elliptical on Letgo. I think there are more people searching FB marketplace and Offerup so as soon as things get listed they go fast so I got lucky with Letgo.

Good morning JB and Menuers,

Kind of sounds like your coming out of your funk a bit JB. Glad to see your on an upswing. Maybe your crafting accomplishments will give you the oomph you need. Good luck with those projects.

So glad it's Friday. I am having people for mother day. My house is pretty big so we can somewhat social distance but really I am over all this I think there going to lift the stay at home band next Friday so I am just a little early. There are a lot of people giving up. I can see it in the traffic and in the stores. People are definitely moving around a lot more. And I was able to score chickened breast at the Aldi today.

QOTD: I am looking for a stand to put disposable hand towels in in my guest bathroom. There in a cute basket but there is no room on the sink top to put the basket.

Accountability: Some peanut butter but not enough to move the scale and no exercise. Something got me sick after lunch yesterday. Lunch went down well but when I went back to drink It didn't stay down.

Love your boots, after not having any true cowboy boots for years I bought some a couple of years ago. I forgot how comfortable they are and how good they make me feel. I would like to get a pair with rubber soles for the rain.

These do have rubber soles they are barn boots but I wear them as fashion boots nobody knows. Just to let you know they have them very cost effective at Rural King if your looking.

Love the meme and shirt JB.

It's going to be another beautiful day today, getting my mammies gramed this morning other than that no plans.

I had to go with the Hawaiian fabric for some interest in my mask. I made 2 for me and 2 in plain blue for my roommate.

I got the lawn mowed and let my horse hand graze on some grass yesterday. The grass is so long and lush and green. Of course not much nutritional value right now, but he still loves it.

I'm feeling a bit better about everything, my anxiety has lessened and I actually feel pretty good. I need to get better organized and get some work out the door.

Have a great Friday everyone!

Mornin' All!

I have to take a friend to the hospital today. She's having a hip replaced this afternoon. She asked me to stay while she was having the surgery, and of course I would have done that anyway (the hospital now allows each patient (other than COVID-19 patients) to have one adult visitor, but they have to wear masks and have to stay in certain areas. Fine by me..)). And I'll be picking her up tomorrow (I couldn't believe this - when my mother had her hips replaced, they had her stay in the hospital two or three nights, I think - and then they released her to a rehab place. But I guess with the virus, they might not be doing this). She hasn't said anything to me about staying with her once she gets home, but I can't imagine she's going to be able to navigate by herself. She'll probably be in bed the first week....and will probably need help with at least SOME things for at least a couple of weeks beyond that. Maybe she's got friends rotating in and out, but if so she hasn't said anything about that. At any rate, I'm guessing I might be tied up with this - at least some days and definitely today and tomorrow - for the next week or two. So this is going to potentially throw a wrench in my meal plans. UGH. Of course I'll be careful, but planning ahead could be difficult for awhile.

My weight really isn't budging, and it SHOULD be given my current calorie level. Part may be exercise - although I do a fair amount of walking, it's not the same as going to Zumba classes several times a week. So I may need to exercise to videos. I'm also thinking I'm going to need to stop with the sugar free breath mints. I've heard that even though something claims to have zero calories, they can legally claim that even if the item has up to five calories. So a couple of breath mints would not be a problem - at all. But I often eat half - or a whole - box of them over the course of a day, to keep myself from eating. If there are 40 breath mints in a box, and they're say, three calories each, that's an extra 120 calories. I'm going to have to find some other way to control my eating/appetite. UGH! I'm not a gum chewer, but I may have to try that. Or maybe chew on a straw or something.

accountability was great yesterday, but I'm feeling really bloated today - and I'm up a pound since yesterday morning. I made - and ate - gumbo last night, so I'm sure that contributed. Sausage - canned tomatoes - salt. All that was in there..

QOTD: I looked FOREVER for a side chair for my porch (we're talking on & off for MONTHS) and finally settled on something a couple of weeks ago that I could at least LIVE with. I hated EVERYTHING! And now I'm doing the same with an office chair for a mid-century teak desk I bought at an estate sale last fall. I've been looking off and on for ages. Nothing is jumping out at me..

TSS: 4y11m

B: protein pancakes with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

L: (skipping my MS because it's 10:15 and I still haven't eaten breakfast, and we have to be at the hospital at 1:30, so I'll eat lunch before I go and take my otherwise MS to the hospital with me....): chicken chipotle taco filling (i.e., no tortillas)

S1: protein shake

S2: I'll take a couple of things with me to the hospital - maybe a protein bar and couple individual packets of nuts (??)

D: I don't know if and when - I may be at the hospital until later this evening - so I guess I'd better take some extra snacks..

ex: it's cold out today, but I may do some laps of the hospital parking lot during her surgery

my hair looks horrendous in this picture, but it doesn't look much better this morning - haven't washed it yet. So I'll just post this one...

I am a serial gum chewer and there are a few calories in it (but I tell myself that I am chewing them away LOL). Some days I chew up to 14 sticks so @ 5 calories each, I take in an extra 70 calories a day.

yea I figured they were about the same calorie-wise as SF breath mints. I couldn't chew 40 sticks a day (like I can easily eat 40 breath mints), but yes - 14 sticks of gum would add up, too. I've got some around here - I'll try it for a couple of days and see what happens. I can try to limit it to fewer than 10 sticks...
