Good morning menu crew!

had a very rough night with pain. I don?t know what it is but I could do without it. I woke up to a severe Charlie horse in my left leg. I could barely get my foot straightened out and flat. Yuck!

I signed up for headspace yesterday for a month. I did my first session for pain and it did help me relax. Next time I?ll do it with headphones one as the dog across the street was yapping nonstop. Looking forward to doing more.

yesterday was great with accountability! Woot! I wear jeans pretty much everyday but sometimes I wear capris that are stretchy waisted.

qotd:I?m with you JB but I do like just PB and a small drizzle of honey more than jelly but I do love fig jam.

b:oatmeal SF coffee creamer

s:PP shake with half a banana, oatmeal muffin

l:scrambled egg & turkey sausage with low carb tortilla and shredded cheese

s:Greek yogurt with strawberries, blueberries

d:egg salad and two ritz crackers

also made some baked oatmeal and might of sampled it a bit to much. About 1/3 of a serving.

Good morning JB and Menuers,

Todays another day. So glad to have you guys to keep me accountable everyday. It really seems to be working to my advantage. I hate having to post a gain so I been sticking very close to my menu.

QOTD: Definitely 1 slice both product. I actually usually toast the bread and add lots of butter. I get it melty then add PB and J to one of the slices and put it together. I definitely perfer the toast over soft bread.

Accountability: I did well. I added a Keto Maple stuffed cookie to dinner and I snaked on some fresh blueberries

TSS: 2 years 4 Month 5 days 134.2 (lowest 130.8)

CB: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato w/Miralax and Fiber

MS: Oikos salted caramel triple zero greek yogurt, cranberry almond elevation bar fresh blueberries

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: keto pizza, mock potato salad, celery Aldi single serve hummus

D: Wendy's chili and stuffed turkey hotdogs with cheese wrapped in bacon

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: I will get in a walk on the treadmill (Did 3 miles yesterday)

Everybody have a Great Day.

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Mornin' All!

Another exciting day from my couch!

I have to go to the compounding pharmacy on the other side of town sometime today to pick up yet another prescription for one of the kitties (not the one who was really sick - but the one who was moderately sick. May not have mentioned this guy in light of what was going on with the other one - but both are doing much better now!). Other than that, not much. I'm busy a chunk of the day tomorrow, though (online Mah Jongg in the morning - and my film discussion group (via Zoom) in the afternoon), so if I need to get out and about, today is much easier.

accountability was good but not great yesterday (again, within my maintenance range, but at the higher end), but luckily my weight was back down this morning. Whew.

QOTD: I always spread the peanut butter on one side, then spread the jelly on top of it. It never occurred to me to put them on different sides - I'd be afraid the jelly would drip off the bread when you turn it upside down (although easy fix - you just top the jelly slice with the peanut butter slice!)

TSS: 4y10m

B: chaffles topped with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry compote, coffee with half & half

MS: Fit Frappe (may be pushed to this afternoon unless I have a REALLY late lunch - because it's 10:00 am and I still haven't had breakfast yet!)

L: 2 Costco chicken skewers dipped in plain Greek yogurt with adobo sauce mixed in

AS: lemon blueberry yogurt pie. Or L&F yogurt with raspberries

D: chipotle chicken tacos

ex: I hope I can get some cardio in sometime today. I wi**** would warm up outside!!! But I think we have another cold day or two ahead of us :-(

have a great day, all!

Good morning! Happy Friday Eve!

QOTD - I put peanut butter on one side, clean the peanut butter on the other slice of bread and put jelly on the other slice. To add a twist, I put granola on the peanut butter side to give it some crunch, and add good calories!

Breakfast - fasting, so hot coffee, hot tea!

Lunch - My boss is sending a large Pizza Hut pizza so I will be stuffing myself with this! 1/2 pepperoni, 1/2 no cheese all veggies, I'm looking forward to seeing it in person!

Snack - fruit smoothie, frui****er, oat milk, chia seed, hemp seed protein

Dinner - Crispy fried tofu, sauteed with rice and veggies.

I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Christina

Let it begin with me.

G'morning all!

Today they have reopened our beaches and parks that they had closed for Easter week. The whole purpose of closing them was to prevent people from other locations to flock to the beach during the holidays. So our local ppl were up in arms about the closure. Now another group is up in arms about the reopenings! Sheesh, ppl are never happy. I, personally, am happy I can go back to my woods for my runs, don't like running on asphalt. I have pretty pics of completely empty beaches I took from the cliffs I'll post tomorrow.

Grim's baking put me in the mood of baking (yup, it's all his fault), so I made some choc chip cookies. Not a good idea, so hopefully it's eaten fast by the rest of the family.

QOTD: I didn't even know what a PB&J was until I moved here and we had kids. I vividly remember we were in Tahoe, DD was around 3, getting ready to go by the lake. DH tells me just make some PB&J to take with us. So I'm making them, he walks by, stops and looks at me.

  • What are you doing?
  • Making PB&J
  • NOT LIKE THAT!!!

I didn't know there was a way to make them. I was putting the PB on the slice, then adding the J and always thought this is so hard to mix, and then putting a clean bread on top. On that famous day DH taught me that PB goes on one slice, J goes on another, and you slap them together. After that day life has never been the same, he is my hero! I still hate PB!

My meals yesterday:

  • B: Protein coffee
  • L: tuna + hb eggs
  • S: 1 choc chip cookie
  • D: home made nachos (no chips for me)
  • E: 25 min cardio + 45 min strength training

Happy Thursday! Aren't you proud of me I know what day it is? ;)

Hello my RnY kindred! It's late morning and a gorgeous sunny day here on the Pacific rim. Lazy me, still wearing PJs! They are just regular leggings and a T that I adopted as nightwear, so in a pinch it could look as if I'm actually dressed should someone come to the door - which of course no one will. I pretty much always dress up and virtually always put makeup on, even just hanging out here. I don't own any sweats. I spent so long being obese and miserable with my pathetic fashion choices, and I love my clothes now. So even if it's just me here all by my lonesome, I dress up because doing so makes me happy. But there are times like today when it takes me a while to get here!

I am out of cheese, SF popsicles, Jordan's syrups, half 'n half, and SF creamer. This is all good news, as my consumption of all of these things is more than ideal. I am resisting a grocery run - I have meat, fish, eggs, veggies, cashew milk, coffee, tea, and some of that flavored Splenda - I am set! Who needs that incredibly yummy cheese? In a couple of days my desire for it will subside and the scale will reward me! I will, however, order some syrup. I love that stuff.

I had (non-bariatric, and not plastic) surgery planned last month, but it was cancelled due the virus. I got a call yesterday telling me that they are again doing surgeries. I was listed as the 2nd most in-need patient so I am now scheduled for this coming Wednesday! And on Monday I have an appointment to be tested for Covid-19, a precaution required for all surgical candidates. So I will drive to the site, show my photo I.D. through my closed window, and then be swabbed. It looks uncomfortable, but I'm sure I'll survive. I'm a little nervous as there is still plenty of viral menace on the prowl, but this needs to be done. I am ready.

I like nonfat plain Greek yogurt and enjoy it with blueberries and a little syrup, but it really is such a slider food. It is yummy and I do enjoy it, but for me it doesn't hold hunger at bay for long at all, so I don't make it a regular part of my diet. Within a half hour I could eat again. As a result, I sort of feel the calories are wasted, at least in comparison to the satiation I experience with dense protein.

QOTD: I have never been a particular fan of PB&J, even when I was a kid. My brother loved it, along with tomato soup; I favored a tuna sandwich and mushroom soup. I do have a jar of peanut butter, but I really only use it occasionally with shrimp/vegetable/tamari/rice vinegar/lemon/sesame oil and garlic, in a stir fry. The PB adds a silky texture and the flavors together are delish! Plus, I don't eat bread at all. I was never a major bread craver even before surgery - my most lethal, adored kryptonite has always been sugar. My kiddo liked PB&J occasionally. I made it for him on toast, with the PB on one side and the J on the other. I think I just used the same knife, PB first, using the other slice of toast to clean it off before adding the J. At least I think so - it was not a frequent menu item.

First: coffee, coffee with cashew milk & salted caramel Splenda

B: tuna, hard boiled egg, spring mix greens

L: Same

D: beef, broccoli

S: HB egg

Have a wonderful day, my friends!
