What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?

hmmm- I would say this could be true. I want to get out and do more things, be active, take on new adventures, DH does not and he would be just as happy at the house for a week straight. I used to be this way but I'm not anymore.

I have to go to things by myself or find a friend to go with me...

Thanks for your input. I'll just have to see how I adjust when the time comes. I'm not in a relationship right now, so don't have to really about that part. And thankfully if I want to try new things the few people I keep close to me all have varied interests, so I'm sure I could find someone to go with me.

I'll be fully transparent here. My ex-husband had surgery 5/09, two months after mine.

We both had transfer addictions, his resulting in gambling, cheating, etc. Mine didn't actually present until after our divorce (alcoholism, but sober 9 months now), but the statistics that they talk about in our pre-surgery counseling are statistics for a reason.

Ultimately, I know our paths went the way they did as they were supposed to.

Thank you for your transparency. I've been warned to watch this especially the gambling since I play fantasy football and do bet on football. Right now, it's completely controlled and I've set spending limits on my accounts to prevent this from getting out of control, but it is something I need to be mindful of.

Congrats on being 9 months sober! I drin****asionally, but have only had 1 drink since before Christmas and that was on my birthday and I didn't even fini**** I've never been a big drinker, but I have a friend trying to gain sobriety, so in support of her I just quit drinking all together.

That is true we may not realize it at the moment, but our paths always take us the way they were supposed to.

Good morning!

Im on week 2 of working from home and I'm becoming less productive instead of finding a groove/new normal. Definitely going to take Jen's list to heart! I don't think I've washed my hair since Wednesday :/ that being said, I wash my hair less often when it's a bright color so that's not completely strange for me. I have been showering, just with a shower cap on. Hair pics attached

I'm an introvert, but I consider myself an extroverted introvert. I don't like going out to parties, but I do like small groups of close friends. I'm missing my day-to-day coworker interaction. Video conference and IM help, but not quite the same.

I have been going for walks/jogs after each workday In the park with my dog (OMG I FORGOT TO TELL YOU WE GOT A PUPPY) and planning my new garden has been keeping me occupied. I already have seedlings under grow light. I'm sure I'll be posting those pics in the weeks to come too!

Good morning JB and Menuers,

Back in the office again today but I see someone smartened up and propped open all the doors so we don't have to touch them and I actually saw a tub of disinfectant wipes near the coffee area. My WFH tip for you Julia is to make sure your office is as far away from the Kitchen as possible so if you do snack more than needed at least you'll get some steps in.

QOTD: Extrovert for sure and what is worse I have no filter and say things that are inappropriate at all the wrong times. Like did you actually look in the mirror this morning when you got dressed? I have held back at the gym though so bad I want to say I have seen you in this gym for over a year and your still as big as you were day one. Have you ever considered bariatric surgery? Oh god it's so hard to keep it in.

Accountability: I am stress eating and don't know how to quit. I am going to just start drinking a lot more calorie free drinks to try to get through this. Also my gym is closed indefinitely. Please help me move .

CB2: Dark roast coffee with SF ID Caramel Macchiato

L: Real good food Chicken Alfredo , Aldi roasted red pepper hummus w-carrots and celery

D: country style ribs and butternut squash.

Water and vitamins: On track. I take a Bariatric advantage Ultra multi w/iron I use bariatric advantage Calcium chews and my blood work has been good. My B12 has been High so I cut my sublingual to every 3rd or 4th day. And I have now added 500mg of Magnesium

Exercise: walk through the neighborhood or on the treadmill whatever the weather has in store for me.

Everybody have a Great day!

Brightest Blessings,

Chrissy

Good morning! JB, super glad you're able to work from home!

QOTD - As Kendrick Lamar said it best..."And I'm gon' shine like I'm supposed to antisocial, extrovert"

Breakfast - None, fasting. Hot coffee, hot tea, Topo Chico!

Lunch - Curbside service from Green, my favorite local vegan place. I'm thinking a Korean "Beef" burrito, with a fruit salad. They make their seitan just...crispy on the edges, soooo good. Even my carnivore husband loves it, he chooses to believe he's having BEEF! hahaha

Snack - Fruit smoothie, frozen fruit, oat milk, chia seed, hemp seed protein

Dinner - Grilled brussell sprouts, rice with veggies, and some Chao vegan cheese melted on top

Stay safe everyone, and have a wonderful day!

Mornin' All!

I did get out a little yesterday - I went to the pharmacy to pick up my prescription, the pet supply store to stock up on food for the kitties (in case the store has to close at some point), and went to the grocery store. It seems like heaven to go run these routine errands now (I'm trying to be compliant with the staying-at-home-thing, which normally would drive me insane). I also went for a walk with DH last night. Otherwise, I spent an hour cleaning - the house is already starting to look better! I'm really going to focus on getting through all these library books, too - as I'm stuck at home indefinitely and this is the perfect chance to do that.

accountability was great yesterday. Will aim for that again today. I really wish my gym hadn't closed down completely as this is particularly going to affect strength training, but I have some hand weights in the basement, so I can probably do something with those. Still, I hate to get behind...I was really on a roll with this.

QOTD: I'm kind of in the middle. I can be pretty social, have lots of friends, love going out, and am very comfortable with things like public speaking. But I do tend to start fading into the background as groups get larger and larger (I prefer smaller groups), I don't like crowds, and I definitely need some alone time to recharge my batteries. I can get pretty drained being "on" all the time.

4 years 9 months out:

B: chaffles topped with plain Greek yogurt and blueberry/blackberry compote, coffee with half & half

S1: Fit Frappe

L: salad with light dressing, Costco chicken skewer

S2: maybe a piece of protein pumpkin pie

D: Real Good enchilada

(I'm doing S1 and S2 lately because I've been eating breakfast later than usual (9:00 or 10:00) because everything I'd normally go to in the morning has been cancelled. This has actually really helped because I've moved my morning snack (which I don't really "need" anymore) to the afternoon - which helps with the tendency to overdo it in the late afternoon. So I can now see how IF helps a lot of people stay within their calorie range. I may do IF after this coronavirus thing passes and life gets back to normal...)
