What's on your Tuesday Menu, RNYers?
on 10/22/19 7:51 am
Good morning everyone! I've been on calls since 5:30 am and now I get a quick break before jumping on a few more; just enough time to grab breakfast and update here. But since we're doing personnel stuff this afternoon (4 hours of it) I did make the executive decision to work from home.
QOTD - 1) my new laptop is being delivered some time today, and 2) all of my nieces and nephews texted me last night to make sure I knew the final star wars trailer dropped (it was during the football game and they all know i don'****ch football). It warms my cold heart that they all think of me!
Menu - I had a pot of coffee with 1/3 of a cafe latte PP; now for cin raisin cottage cheese with 8 hazelnuts for breakfast.
Lunch - 3 oz ever roast with 1 oz cheese
Dinner - Real Good Foods "pasta" (Italian sausage and cheese bake)
Snack - L&F greek
Hope everyone that's been feeling so bad starts an upward trend today!

Good morning JB and Menuers,
Your meme today reminds me of me pre surgery self. I referred to myself as the dyslexic anorexic I looked in the mirror and thought I was skinny.
QOTD: DH Bought us a hot Tub yesterday.
I finished picking the peppers and butternut squash out of the garden.
I returned a pair of tights to JC Penny that had a hole in them when I pulled them out o the package and they returned my money no questions asked. ( That had me so mad the cardboard they stuffed in them for packaging purposes ripped them. Bring back the egg packaging they never ripped and there were fun uses for the eggs)
Mom said she liked the dinner I brought for her Sunday and it was completely healthy Turkey meatballs stuffed with /Baby-bell cheese, Sauce I made with no sugar from my garden and Banza Penne.
Accountability: Never made it to the gym we were at pool city all evening. Did you know they have you come in in your swimsuit to try the hot tubs. DH bought honey roasted Pistachios at Sams club. Why Why!!!

So jealous of your hot tub! I want a pool more than a hot tub, so I save my nagging for that, but it's second on the list!
And YES to the dyslexic anorexic!! I was really one of those people who thought that vertical stripes changed my body shape, and I could fool people into seeing a thinner me, haha.
I have a pool I maintain at my Moms house. She is only a few miles away . However the only reason I maintain it is she uses it every day she can in the summer and she is 81. My two favorite days of the year are the day I open it and they day I close it. If it was not for her devotion of using it I would get a pool membership at a local country club and just have them do all the work. I find in the north it is a pain in the butt. If you lived where it did not have to be open and closed I am sure I would like it much more.

Good morning~ Happy Tuesday - I got my labs done this morning for my 3 year surgiversary next month - 13 tubes! My doc is very thorough. I probably should have eaten something, but did get a latte afterwards and I feel fine. Can't wait to see the results. Yesterday I was able to run without ANY foot or chin pain in my new shoes w/my orthotics, yay! I am sore in a normal way though my knees are pretty tight which I expected. I ran longer on each interval and can't believe how much I love running! I have to build up my muscles and nurse my knees, but I can't wait to just be able to run without stopping. I'm trying out the mindset of exercising for the sake of feeling great and stronger and not for weight loss or punishment. I am also considering ditching the daily weigh-in's - I want to know, but it really messes with me. I may have to ween slowly.
Accountability - great
QOTD - Yesterday - I ran my longest ever and I really enjoyed the hydro massage afterwards. I LOVE listening to audibles in the car - it makes my commute 100x more pleasant. The basket of Hershey kisses on the kitchen counter isn't even tempting me - 2 days now.

I am sure you have heard me talk about this ad nauseam, but when I first started running, I downloaded the Jeff Galloway half marathon app. He has a 5k or 10k one, too. I love it because he really teaches you running techniques, which I never knew (about how to breathe, and hold your shoulders, and other important stuff no one ever taught me!). It is completely customizable so you can play with run/walk times.
***super impressed that you are not kissing the kisses***
