What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
Morning all. I'm late today. Been kind of blah. Found out my old youth pastor and dear friend passed away Saturday morning and last night my sweet neighbor passed away. You just never know who you'll never see again.
QOTD: I first found out about it when I was in my late teens early twenties around the time Al Roker had his surgery. My mom tried to get me to have it because I was still under her and my father's insurance which covered it. She would always mention to me....Al Roker had it and look at how much weight he lost. I wasn't ready then though. Over the years more and more people I knew started having it....a girl I went to church with, my old babysitter, a couple co-workers, but it wasn't until (and I know this sounds bad) the girl my ex left me for had it that I really said that's it....I want it too! I started doing serious research on it and my mind was made up.

Just jumping in to say that I'm in the ER and will be staying overnight for monitoring of my heart.
Can't stop smiling though because the cardiologist is more concerned about my low resting heart rate and jealous of my muscles than she is of my heart blockage!!! Gotta find something funny in this.
I'll get through this somehow folks!

The hospital is not the most fun place to be but you get your meals served to you, clean nightgowns, your bed made, and floors cleaned by the staff.
And someone is there that can help immediately if anything goes wrong.
When I was in the hospital for observation for chest pain I had a roommate. I am not sure what was wrong with her, but she spent a lot of time in the hospital. She was basically homeless, complained of pain, and they had to keep her in the hospital. It was March and she had been in the hospital more than 60 days that year already.
She would have friends bring her pizza and candy. I was on a low salt, low sodium diet and watched them eating at the next bed. She was very overweight, would get dressed in sexy outfits, very tight and revealing. Then she would walk around the hospital with a cart, go to rooms that were not occupied and steal the linens and pillows from those rooms.
She would pack them in garbage bags and bring them downstairs where a friend would meet her and take the stuff. I guess they were selling it at garage sales or something. I reported this and everyone just shrugged and did not want to get involved. Strange things go on.
I hope they find no problems and this is over for you soon.
Real life begins where your comfort zone ends
I know you are going to come through this with flying colors.
