What's on your Monday Menu, RNYers?
on 9/30/19 2:21 am
Hi Kids! Ready for another week? Honestly, I don't think I am... I can't believe I am waking up still feeling so yucky. It's my last day of antibiotics and I still can't breathe! But I had a nice low-key weekend hanging out alone at my parent's house. I am rested, just not ready.
Accountability: Yesterday evening was terrible. I managed to eat potato chips AND a Reeces cup. WTF?
QOTD: What is the biggest local news story in your area? A town north of Boston had a series of gas explosions along a gas line that exploded a bunch of homes last year (it was terrible and scary!). Now, in the same area, there is a huge gas leak and people have been evacuated since Friday while they try to figure out what is happening there.
I am not eating the tortilla with the street taco, but I am too lazy to try to figure out the macros without it...
Exercise: Lots of walking today!
Good Morning JB and Menuers,
Quiet, relaxing weekend away but I am not mentally prepared to start a new week.
QOTD: There was a stabbing at Hunt Valley Liquor and Beer this weekend. He managed to stab 4 people. Pretty sad that he lost his life over his actions. What in the world is wrong with people?
Lots of water and all my vitamins. Have a great Monday!
You can't measure your achievements with someone else's yardstick!

Good morning, everybody!
Today is technically my last day of being GreatEight. Our work fiscal year ends on September 30th. Our partners have a mandatory retirement at age 60. When I chose my screen name I did so because I had eight years until that mandatory retirement. (It was actually a few more months that that when I joined OH) I wanted to have a healthy and happy final eight years. As of today, I am now seven years from mandatory retirement.
I'm not going to change my screen name to GreatSeven, though. It's not as catchy as GreatEight. Also, there would be the question of what to do next year. I fear that some of my fellow posters would be creeped out if I started calling myself Greatsix. Others would develop unrealistic expectations.
So I will remain Greateight.
I'm super excited because I got tickets for Little Feat on October 13th. I was trying to hide from Marilyn that I would be flying home from a weekend in Waco and then immediately going into the city for a concert. But she picked up on it right away and asked if I was crazy. I said, but honey, "it's DixieChicken". Hopefully, she cheers up about it because its an 18 plus show so I can't take my sons.
The Whack, as the girls call it is a pretty restful place. And I can always sleep on the plane. When Julia posts from Oregon, I bet she will say she likes Little Feat also. It's how we roll.
With a little internet research, I did find that Fat man in the Bath Tub is not a song about obesity. Yikes.
QOTD: Cubs fire Joe Maddon
Breakfast: chili
Snack: Protein Bar
Lunch: Chicken
Snack: Jerky
Dinner: TBD
Have a great day, all!

I don't know...Greatseven has an equally nice ring to it once you know what it means. I would basically kill someone to be 7 years away from retirement right now.
