What's on your Wednesday Menu, RNYers?
Good morning, everybody!
I saw this meme on one of my daughter's Instagram posts, I don't know why it is came out so small when I posted it.
Of course, while I was looking for it I came across Colin Nissan's essay" It's Decorative Gourd Season..." That one never fails to make me laugh. Just a masterpiece of squash based decorating and sociopathic aggression. With that short essay, Nissan established himself as a master of the fall writing genre, really a Washington Irving of the Internet age.
I am working from home today because I have a dentist appointment this afternoon. I am hoping to get a few miles in towards the 50 mile challenge.

I love the cartoon! That's adorable.
I used to have a mug that said: "It's decorative gourd season mother******s." I miss that mug.
QOTD: I have been told I look like Natalie Maines of the Dixie Chicks. The blond, shoulder length hair version but she's way too short. Of course now you have me on the Google machine looking up tall actresses. I am going to go with Uma Thurman- Tall, blond and kick-ass.
12 hour day- ridiculous how much food I bring with me.
- spinach frittata
- shrimp on salad
- turkey on thin sliced wheat bread, veggies
- S: yogurt, pumpkin muffins, protein, Peanut Butter

I remember watching Kill Bill volume 1 and 2 with my son when he was inappropriately young.

Mornin'!
It was kind of sad to leave NC yesterday; I had a great time. But part of it had to do with the fact I was able to get together with a couple of old friends who just happened to be in the area - if it weren't for that, I probably would have been more than ready to come back. It's kind of remote area, and I'm pretty urban. It's wonderful to see mountains and hear live traditional Appalachian music, but I'm good after a couple of days of that. Not sure what I would have done had I been there much longer.
Nothing on the agenda today other than I HAVE to exercise and I need to go grocery shopping. I let a lot of the food run out before I left, and DH ate all the pulled pork I left.
accountability was good yesterday but I had too much sodium (pulled pork, 1/2 a shrimp po boy, tomato juice on the plane). I'll be pushing lots of fluids today....
