Morning everyone!! We made it to Friday!!! So glad to have a weekend and looking forward to a short week next week too!

Karen, 2 things...how in the name of ... do you only each 4 pretzels? Pretzels are my thing but I could NEVER each just 4 of them, especially when shoveling hummus into my mouth! And 2, Lily is such a cutie and every time you post a picture, I think how wonderful it is that you have each other!

Well folks, summer is definitely here in MD, very hot and humid with little chance of rain...ugh. Since losing weight, I don't mind the actual heat all that much but the humidity still kills me!! I'd love to exercise outside all the time but yesterday and today are air quality alert days and taking a midday run is a real no-no. Yesterday I did half an hour on the elliptical at work and then some ab work. I don't really like the elliptical all that much, I'd rather run, but it was a decent alternative. Today I'm doing an hour in the gym with my trainer for exercise. I'd really like to get in a long hike soon too, but I'll just have to see.

I'm working from home today and on my way out for coffee #2, my 15 year old cat, Louie, told me he needed time with his momma:

He's a very shy boy who never really adjusted from being feral to being a pet, but he's a love and I try to give him personal time when he's in the mood!

Menu:

B: coffee x 2 already, TJ's ham, 1/2 cup plain oatmeal w/ blackberries & slivered almonds

S: CarbMaster yogurt

L: protein shake after workout, Curry deli chicken, baby carrots

S: CarbMaster yogurt

D: either fish tacos without tortillas or hopefully cod from Whole Foods bar

Have great day everyone!

Good morning, Karen. Happy Fri-yay!, everybody. I woke up super early this morning, so I have been wandering around for almost three hours by now. I debated working from home and actually brought my computer home last night, but since I am taking next Friday off, I decided to go into the city today.

Last night, my trainer asked me how much more weight I had lost over the last couple of months and when I told him that I was holding about the same, he said that he thought that I was trading fat for muscle. That has me thinking that I should really get a Dexa scan in the near future, so I am going to look into that. He also said that I am straightening out, my back is becoming less rounded and my posture improving. If that is true I will be very happy.

My main plan for the weekend is to get our back porch doors stripped and sanded and make any minor repairs that are needed so that I can paint them next week. Not a super hard job, but one that requires an actual weekend without rain. Hopefully, the weather holds up.

Other than that, we may continue our Lord of the Rings marathon by moving into the three Hobbitt movies.

Picture is the new Jerkies and meat sticks.

Breakfast: Bratwurst

Snack: jerky

Lunch: Fish

Snack: Ostrim meat stick

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all.

Hopefully more jerky equals leads to less protein bars!
