morning all.

Yesterday was a long day with a lot of driving. The visitation for my friend's mom was in Glenview, which although only about 18 miles from where I work, took about an hour to get to...and it was worse because it was pouring rain.
I made sure I left in plenty of time to pick up Story from daycare but I made it there literally JUST in time...it took me almost 2 hours to get from Glenview to Lake in the Hills, and it was all slow/stop & go traffic. I was definitely happy to get home but then I ate too many unplanned snacks last night. I had some banana bread with PB and then about an hour later I ate some mixed nuts and a nectarine. Not terrible choices but definitely about 500 calories more than I should've had.
I will do better tonight. I am planning on trying to avoid all snacks after dinner tonight to make up for it.

Morning: coffee w/SF coffeemate
B: 1/2 C Cottage cheese, 1 small peach
L: 3 celery stalks w/tuna/light mayo and chopped up pickle, 8 baby carrots w/2tbsp hummus
AS: L&F greek yogurt, handful of grapes
D: I will be at my mom's tonight for dinner, and she is making salmon and asparagus.

have a great day my friends!

Good morning! The new king mattress is HUGE, amazing and comfy. I slept like a baby and woke up feeling great! That is until I got out of the car at work and couldn't stand upright! I'm hurting so bad that I've been on ice ever since. I know it will take time to adjust from old soft to new firm but good Lord, give me strength!!

I only chime in when I am intrigued by the QOTD: You got me today as I am privileged to be born work and live in the City of Champions. I used to be a season ticket holder in the early 80's For the Pittsburgh Penguins ?However as Lemeaux made this a hockey town prices sky rocketed and I was forced to buy an 83" TV and watch in my home with usually about 20 to 30 friends & family members for all the important hockey games and for every Steeler game. The Pirates have issues so I have not followed since I was young however I do like to go to the ballpark a couple times a season just to smell the popcorn and enjoy the ambiance.

All on point with vitamins.

I have 1 more pound to go to be of normal weight on The BMI scale. It's been fighting me for two months. Please a little prayer to get me unstuck I would greatly appreciate it.

Brightest Blessings Everyone.

QOTD- Football the Seahawks and Oregon Ducks.

I had a bad day yesterday, someone has brought Red Vines into the office and I couldn't resist. Too many of them and I was in misery. Didn't dump but felt awful and ended up going home. So why is it all of the things that tempt us and if we eat them make us sick, I really do know better, but still can't seem to quit. So I felt shaky and ended up taking it easy for the rest of the day. I could have possibly been dehydrated too, I was craving salt and downed 32 oz of water pretty quickly. So I need to make sure I drink enough water.

My thermometer said it was 104 degrees yesterday. Today it is only supposed to be 85, so much better than yesterday. My poor plants have been looking terrible, I've been watering them by hand in the morning and at night so they are possibly perking up a little bit.

I finally slept pretty good last night, but was late getting up so quick shower, water the plants and off to work. I was having a nightmare when I woke up about work, so I guess I'm stressed. Still too much work and not enough time, I keep hoping things will get better. But I've been told it will get worse before it gets better.

Happy Friday Eve everyone!

Hi All! Better late than never!

so I got a call at 7:00 am this morning saying my plastic surgeon had an emergency he had to deal with, so they had to reschedule all his patients - and could I come back tomorrow afternoon? Well, no - I will be on a plane to Cleveland tomorrow afternoon. Plus I'd driven all the way to Chicago - and stayed overnight at a hotel - so I could get to his office on time for my appointment this morning. CRIPES!!!! The really frustrating thing is, THIS IS THE SECOND TIME IT'S HAPPENED!!! Crap! More money down the drain. Well, he can't help it if it's an emergency. Perhaps his wife got violently ill or had a heart attack in the middle of the night. Or maybe there was a death in the family - who knows. If his practice was here in town, this would be no big deal. But that's the risk you take when you go to someone in another city (actually, if I didn't have that flight to Cleveland tomorrow, we COULD have stayed over an additional night and I could have seen him tomorrow - but, I couldn't do that - I'd miss the funeral - and be out the change fee as well. Just all around an unresolvable problem...again, it's a risk I took....)

so we hung out for awhile and drove home. Now I'm prepping for my trip to Cleveland (and taking a break at the moment...). I rescheduled that appt for July 1. Hopefully this won't happen again...

QOTD: hockey. University of Wisconsin, of course - I like both men's and women's teams, but especially the women's team because those women are phenomenal! I really prefer sports when I can go to the game, so this is part of it. I never really liked watching sports on TV.

4 years out:

B: 2 protein bars (because the breakfast at the hotel was crap - cereal and pastries. No thanks), coffee with whole milk

L: one Swedish pancake with lingonberry sauce, 2 Swedish meatballs

MS: frozen protein shake (matcha tea powder with vanilla protein powder - excellent!) with mango pieces (from 1/2 mango)

D: probably 1/2 C protein oatmeal with 1/2 C protein chocolate "mousse" (whipped & sweetened cottage cheese with added protein powder and unsweetened cocoa powder) and raspberries

ex: none yet - I suppose I should go for a walk after dinner - or go over to the gym

have a great evening, all!!
