Great participation today! I just feel better when everybody is posting and is posting in approximately the same order. Hopefully Sheila will be back today as well.

Today is the first day of summer for our boys. Marilyn has a list of things that she wants them to get started on today. I am sure that they are thinking more along the lines of sleep all afternoon and ask her to take them to Five Guys. We will see who emerges victorious when I return home tonight.

I made it through the day without protein bars and with only a little popcorn. The scale reflected it this morning. Yay!

98 Burpees.

QOTD: In addition to the items previously mentioned I love fresh eggplant cubed and grilled in foil with a little olive oil.

Breakfast: Turkey meatballs and cottage cheese

Snack: Light and fit

Lunch: Ahi Tuna Salad

Snack: Almonds

Dinner: TBD

Have a great day, all.

I'm trying to find the balance for Emily for summer and we are only on day 3. She does have some school work in preparation for AP classes next year and in volunteering every night this week for vacation bible school so I'm trying to allow her down time too (which means "phone face").

Its hard to strike the right balance isn't it? Marilyn was just now trying unsuccessfully to get the boys to go to the gym with her before heading off to cardio tennis. Today mostly went as I thought but my youngest did sign up for his summer biology class so that is counting as a win.

I think that's a win for sure. I tried to convince Emily to take her history class over the summer so she could take two electives next year (since she doesn't have much going on for the summer) and she wouldn't do it. Instead, she signed up for AP European World History next year-I'm not looking forward to those evenings of frustration and tears.

Doing better today... My mom doesn't know who I am and is starting to really change. I'm relived that she's not scared or upset and seems to think she's a kid at camp, so small silver lining.

It's good that this feels easy(er) for her. Take care of yourself and let the hospice people support you.

Crazy hot for so early! How is the moisture level there this year, I know you had so many fires in the area last year, hopefully not up for more of the same!

There have been a few fires in CA already but so far air quality/humidity levels are doing ok. For a change we aren't in a drought this year.
