What is one thing that totally amazes you about yourself, post-WLS?
I have been faithful at the gym since last May. I knew I had a hernia surgery coming up and I wanted to be in the best shape I could be. Last November I was asked to do a jump squat in class and I didn't hesitate It was so rewarding to be able to jump. February 7 the day before surgery I did my first chin up (assisted by a band) but still it was awesome. I also was able to recover much quicker from this surgery. Getting out of bed and moving and being able to pull myself up with my arms in the hospital bed. So many NSV but these I worked for and I'm proud of them.

I am amazed at how good I feel. I have not felt this good in 20 years. My only regret is not having RNY earlier. I swim 50 laps every morning. I plan to do so till the day I day, may that be a long, long time from now!

I am amazed at how quickly my body has adjusted to all the things I ask of it! Everything is easier and less painful (and I didn't even realize it was painful before).
also, shallowly, this week I realized when I stand with my feet together, the rest of my legs don't touch. I didn't even realize that was a possibility, lol.

Oh golly, which one can I put. I can shop anywhere I want, even online. I can run. A year ago at this time, I was on a walker and now I run!!! How awesome is that. My seat in my car is much closer because I fit behind the steering wheel. I will never again have to fly and ask for a seat extender. So, so many things. I still cry when I think how far I've come in 16 months. Sometimes, I feel like I should be pinching the heck out of myself just to be absolutely sure this is not a dream!!!
